Duffs United Church, Walton
was decorated with gladiolas
and chrysanthemums for the
wedding on August 2nd of
Marjanh Olive Wildfong and
William Stanley Ebel.
Rev Darwin 1)ocken offic-
iated at the ceremony. Tae
organist was Mrs. Dan Wilbee.
The brides parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Wildforig, 33
Victoria St. , Mitchell. The
bride-groom is the son of Mrs.
Betty 0361, 292 Brunswick St.,
Siiittord.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father wore a floor len-
gth gown of white satin, with a
brocade of roses. She carried a
white Bible, showered with pink
roses.
Attending the bride were
Miss Jean Rae, London. as maid
of honor, miss Joyce McNichol
Walton, cousin of the bride and
Miss Lois Wildfong, Mitchell,
sister of the bride as bridesmaid.
They wore floor-length
gowns of aqua blue and carried
pink mums with yellow roses.
Their bead pieces were of
matching aqua blue.
The best man was Alla
Racho of Stratford. Guests
were ushered by David Wildfong,
Mitchell and Gerry Ebel, Strat-
ford.
' The reception was held in the
Sebringville Community •Centre.
Following a honeymoon in
Northern Ontario the couple will
reside in Woodstock.

Stratford. The Rev. D. Stevens
officiated at the double ring
craemony.
The bride given in marriage
by her father, looked lovely in
a floor-length, long sleeved
gown of chiffon over taffeta,
Matching,lace accented the
empire bodice, waist and' chapel
length train. A cluster of white
roses held her shoulder length
veil. She carried a boquet of
pink roses. Assisting the bride
were Miss Anne Sills, Seaforth,
as maid of honor and Miss Brenda
Finlayson, Seafor th, sister of
the bride, Miss Tanya Gilliland,
Stratford, sister of the groom and
Mrs. Faye MacDonald, Kitchener.
The bridesmaids were goy...I:led
alike in floor length gowns with
fitted sleeveless bodice of white
blue flocked organza over blue
and white taffets. The scooped
neckline dipped low in the back.
Blue and white Lace flower bands
accented the waist and skirt.
They carried colonial boquets Of
pink rose buds surrounded by blue
tinted carnations. The flower-
girl Miss Karne Finlayson, wore
a floor-length gown of white
chiffon over taffeta. A row of,
blue flowers arid velvet ribbon
accented the high waist. She
carried flowers similar to the
bridesmaids.

and the guests were ushered by
Mr. Jim Finlayson, Seaforth, '
brother of the'bride, Mr. Bill
McGrath, Seafotth, and Mr.
Bruce Askeland, of New Bruns-
wick. Master-Brett Finlayson
was the ringbearer.
Mrs, A. Scott of Seaforth •
played traditional wedding
music and accompanied the
soloist Miss Bev. Sholdice of
Stratford, who sang "The Wedd-
ing Prayer"_Arid2O Perfect Love"
A reception was helifollow-
ing the ceremony in the church
basement. The bride's mother
received the guests in a deep
pink sleeveless dress of crimp-
olene and matching hat with
white' and- black accessories.
The groom's mother assisted in
a pale mint green dress and
matching hat. 1'
For a wedding trip to the
Pocono Mountains in Penna. the
bride chose a coat and dress
ensemble of green and white
with white accessories. On then
return they will reside in Burl-
ington.
Guests were present from
Montreal, London, Stratford,
Clarkson, Haslett, Mith. and
Burlington.
Prior to her,marriage the bride
was honored at several miscell-
aneous showers. Fellow teachers
at the Glen Cairn Public School
in London held a shower and
Miss Anne Sills was hostess to
another shower. Friends and
neighbors attended a shower in
the Egmondville Church.
Rev. J. lire Stewart officiated
at the double ring ceremony in
First Presbyterian Churcli on
July 19th in,which Sharon Van
Rooijen and Arie Verhoef Jr.
of R. R #5 Clinton were united
in marriage. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hank
Van Rooijen of Seaforth and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Arie Verhoef, Sr. , of Clinton,
Mrs. John Cardno played the
wedding music: ..
The bride, given in marriage•
by her brother John Van Rooijen,
wore a floor length white satin
dress covered with white lace
fashioned with white satin wrist
length sleeves and a white satin
collar. A white satin bow accen-
ted the empire style. A flowered
headpiece held a shoulder length
veil and she carried a cascade of
white carnations.
Miss Janrieke Van Rooijen of
Seaforth was maid of honor and
Mrs. R. Nixon was bridesmaid.
They wore similar floor length
gowns of mauve' satin highlighted
with lace.
Mr. Anthony Verhoef of
Clinton was the groomsman and
Mr. Joe Rooijen of Tillsonburg
ushered the guests.
Following a reception in the
church parlours the couple left
for a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario. For travelling the bride
wore a mauve dress with white
lace and white accessories. On
'their return they will reside at
R, R. #5, Clinton.
'Guests for the occasion were
present from_Holland, Windsor,
London, Galt and the surrounding
districts,
Prior to her marriage Miss
Norma Jeffery and Mrs. Dick
Roorda of Brucefield honored the
bride with miscellaneous showers.
Mr.. and Mrs. Brian Scott
Traviss of London are pictured
here following their recent
marriage in Egmondville United
Church. The bride is the, former
Wilma Jean Jackson of London
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Jackson, Kippen,and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Traviss of Walton.
Rev. Douglas Stevens officiated
at the double ring ceremony
amidst a setting-of candelabra
and baskets of white, yellow
and blue star burst mums.
Mrs. Arnold Scott of Sea-
forth played traditional wedding
music and accompanied the
soloist Mrs. Bruce Whitmore of
St. Catherines who sang "The
Wedding Prayer" and "Walk
Hand in Hand".
The bride given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown of
White norganza featuring blue
satin ribbons encircling the .
empire waist and weaving
through entre deux of Alencon
type lace to panel the skirt
and sweep down the, circular
built in train. Blue satin bows
accented the length of the
centre back lace panel.' Co-
ordinated with the gown was a
miniature lace berriboned bon-
net with a full bouffant veil of
tulle illusion, She carried a
cascade of white gardenias witl
` blue ribbons.
Mrs. Dorothy Henderson of
Hamilton was matron of honor
and the bridesmaids were Gail
Traviss of• Wrlton, sister of the
groom and Miss Lois Jackson of
London, sister of the bride. They
were gowned alike in powder
blue priicess styled full length
dresses of silk shantung. The
back inverted pleat and front
lines were accented 'with pleated
lace. Headpieces were of blue
net centered with a. blue bow of
the same material as the dress,
They carried white daisies and
blue pompom mums arranged in,
white baskets trimmed' with
blue and white velvet ribbons..
The 'best man was Tom Mathe
of Tonto and guests were, .
ushered by Rae Munro of Belle-
ville and Ken Pollard of Guelph.
Af ter a reception held in the
church parlours the couple left
for a wedding trip to the Eastern
United States and Quebec. The
bride chose for travelling a
mint green wool dress and coat
ensernble. The dress featured
an ivory yoke and mandarin
collar. For accessories she wore
a mint green lizzard purse and
shoes and an ivory panama
straw hat. A yellow rose corsage
completed the ensemble. On
their return they will reside in
London.
The bride's mother received
guests'at the reception in a pink
satin hooked shantung coat dress
with, a beaded cowl collar.
Accessories of gloves and hat in
the same color were worn. A
white rose corsage completed
her attire. The groom's mother
assisted in a mint green satin
backed shantung coat dress with
embroidered trim and hat and
,gloves to match with a yellow
rose corsage.
Guests were ,resent from
Belleville, Toronto, Kitchener
London, Hamilton, Cooksville
and surrounding districts.
