W. was held at the home of Mrs. Jim McEwing on Wednesday evening with 16 mem- bers and one visitor present. Mrs. Trewin opened the meeting with a reading "Kind Words". Kath- leen McEwing gave a piano inst- rumental, The study book on Japan was given ny MrS. Te'ew it Mrs. Ed Bell conducted the business session. The treasurer"s report was given by Miss Jean Leiper., Thank-you notes were received from the IvIcVittie fam- ily, Leiper family and the Murray family . Plans were made for a bazaar in October. Mrs. Bell closed with a prayer. RONALD BRADY Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Carter and family travelled throught the Easter States to the coast of Maine where they stayed for a week then came home through Quebec and Mdntreal. Mrs. Cecile Rozell and family visited with her sister at Boheag- eon for three weeks. Mr. Norman MacLean arrived home from Scotland where he joined his son Bill and Jack Durst. They spent their time fishing and visiting relatives whom Mr. MacLean had not seen for many years. Surviving are a brother, Wil- liam , St. Thomas, two sisters Mrs. Albert (Janet) Baker, Sea- forth, Mrs. Michael (Elsie) Kelly, Centralia, The funeral took place from the Rann Funeral Home in Brussels on August 2nd, Burial was in the Brussels Cemetery.
