BERNARD REUNION The annual Bernard family reunion was held on Sunday, July 20 at the Seaforth Lions' Park with 43 in attendance. During the afteinoon the children enjoyed the pool facil- ities while the adults enjoyed 'a social chat. Following this, everyone sat down to supper and Earl Bernard of Brussels asked the Grace. The 1969 President, Mrs. Marjorie Cartwright, Lon- desborough, welcomed every- one to the reunion and conduct- ed a business meeting. The fol- lowing is the slate of officers for the 1970 reunion. President- Mrs. Margaret Bernard, Brussels; Vice-President Mrs. Lois Smith, Clinton; Secretary - Miss Linda Est, Clinton; Sports Committee - Howard. Bernard, Brussels, Robert Read, Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. George Bernard, Clinton won a prize for having their Anniversary closest to the date of the picnic. The 1970,Returion will be held in the Seaforth Lions' Park on the third Sunday in July. CAMPBELL REUNION Unfavourable weather forced the tenth "Campbell Reunion" indoors at the Seaforth Com- munity Centre when sixty were on hand on Sunday. Mrs. Jean' McKinley, the oldest descend- ant was present. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McEwing and Kathleen conducted a pro-' gram of sports. The results of which were - Relays-"drop the clothespin" Bill Thamer and Bob Mc- Kinley's team tied. "dressing the pillow" - Bill Tharner's team won.
