Approx- imately 105 participated in the event, raising $2500. towards new ball park lights. Darrell Wolfe, 12, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Wolfe, ran all the way and was first one back. He set out from the com- munity Centre at 5:15 a. m. A friend, Billy Scherbarth, set out with him but only lasted a Able. Nearly four hours and five rest stops later, Darrell returned. Glen Dolmage, 16, was the fastest though, shaved 10 min- utes off Darrell's time raising an extra $25. The walkers aged from six to 66 and nearly 90 per cent finished the full 20 miles. The, last returned about 8 p. m. The - youngest walker was Perry Ben- newies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bennewies and the old- est was Robert French. The wives of Chamber of Commerce members donated a free lunch and supper to the walkers. The money raised will com- plete the cost of the floodlights, the remainder being supplied by township and provincial grants.
