PHONE 527-0420 SEAPORTS `Using enrolment figures for September 1969, several elemen- tary schools in the County of Huron appear to be approaching maximuth capacities, D.J. Cochrane, director of education, re- ported to Huron County Board of Education at its meeting In Cen- tral Huron Secondary School Board Room, Monday evening. In fact, one school--Huron Centennial—is scheduled to have 703 pupils as against a rated capacity of 700, or 100.4 per cent, The report was requested by the Board when it was alleged by a deputation that Blyth Public School was greatly overcrowded. Enrolment in all the schools in the county was desired, so that the Blyth situation could be placed in its, proper perspective. "It is obvious from the figures (published below) that four schools in the COunty are closer to maximum enrolment than the school in Blyth," the report said. "We recommend that no act- ion be taken until the administrative staff studies and reports on the situation in the whole county." School Rated Capacity Enrolment Sept.
