from Goderich won the ladies
trebles last Wednesday with a
score of 3W + 20 agg. 46. Sec-
ond place went to a Wingham
rink skipped by Mrs. Finnegan
with 3W + 14, Close behind was
Mrs. H. Scrimegeour of Goder-
ich with 2W + 13 and 4th place
was a Seaforth rink skipped by
Ella Munroe with 2W + 10.Seven
greens were in play and the
weather ideal.
Thursday and Saturday nights
were jitney bowling and your
reporter is sorry she did not get
the names of the winners but
will have a full report next week.
There is a ladies trebles tourn-
ament in Stratford, Wednesday,
July 16, also mixed pairs in
Exeter. Don't forget men, Wed-
nesday July 23rd is men's pairs
'in Seaforth and it is the West-,
inghouse tournament.

Coaches of the Optimist-
sponsored Seaforth Pee Wees
and Bantams this week released
their club records.
The,statistics reveal both
teams have winning combinations.
The Pee Wees have compiled a
5 -, 3 record after eight starts
while The Bantams are 5- 2 after
seven games.
The Pee Wees under coach
Ray Mennell and Manager Maur-
ice Huard play in a 7-team
league including Listowel, God-
erich, Clinton, Mitchell, Credit-
on, Dashwood and Seaforth. The
club has four games remaining.

dropped their first game of the
season when they were edged
by Brucefield 7-6 at Shakes-
peare Monday night._
The loss could cost Shakes-
peare first place in the Inter-
mediate ladies Softball League
standings if Goderich drops out
of the league.
Brucefield grabbed a 3-0
lead in the first inning on the
strength of two, Shakespeare,
errors and a home run. They
never looked back.
