On July 12th, A1524 Leonard
Leeming and Edna Mitchell
were united in marriage by Rev.
H. D. Moyer in the United Church
manse, Mitchell.
On Saturday July 12th they
will quietly observe their 45th
Anniversary.,. There is no spec-
ial anniversary occasion plan-
ned as Mr. Leeming recently
returned from Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital where he has
been ill for five weeks,
Mrs. Leeming,, the former
Edna Mitchell, was born i n
Fullarton Township, Perth,Coun-
ty and came as a bride to the
former Leeming homestead
which Mr. Leeming 's parents,
the late Thomas Leeming ' and
Katharine Doerr came as a bride
and grooreand where Mr. Leem-
ing lived his entire life until
6 years ago when the couple
moved to Walton where they

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dundas
and Debbie of Toronto visited
recently with Mrs. George Dun-
das.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kerley of
Toronto spent the past week with
Mrs. Walter Broadfoot.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Murray
and Susan left for Burwash on
Tuesday where they will visit
with Mr. and Mrs. George Kirkby.
Mrs. Frank Johnston of Mc-
Killop visited over the week end
with Mr. and Mrs. Torrance Dun,.

Sixteen ladies of the Walton
Womens Insti,tute attended• the
July meeting of the Blyth Instit-
ute last Thursday evening in the
Blyth Memorial Hall which prov-
ed to be very interesting to all.
Church service will be resum-

dinner at Danny's Restaurant to
celebrate the occasion of their
50th wedding anniversary. Their
three-tier wedding cake graced,
the table. The honored celebran-
ts were presented with a couch
by the members of the family.
In the evening friends, neigh-
bours and relatives gathered at
the home of their son Chester
and Mrs. Higgins to honor the
bride and groom of fifty years
ago.
The couple were happily sur-
prised when an address was read
by Jack Higgins and a chair was
presented by Robert Coultes, Mr.
Higgins replied fittingly on be-
half of his wife and himself.
