AND IT WASVT THE 13TH.
Everything seemed to go wrong on Friday even though itwasn't the 13th. It started in the
morning when a truck engaged in the sewer excavation project on Crombie Street bumped the
hydro-pole in the middle of the picture. This set off a chain reaction which resulted in hydro •
being off throughout much of the east part of town for nearly two hours, despite the steady
efforts of P. U. C. Manager, Walter ,Scott and his crews. .4hortly after four o'clock trouble
struck again when an electric storm knocked out one side of, a high tension line feeding Sea-
forth north end transformer station,. This meant it was necessary to move the full load on to
the No, 1 station on Chalk Street and during the switch-over it was possible to provide o n1 y
partial service to, the west side of town,

MRS.W.-J.R.McNICHOL
The• death occurred in South
Huron Hospital, Exeter on Wed-
n esday of -Mrs. W. J. Ross Mc-
Nithol of Hensall, Ill for some
time she was 49.
Born in Seaforth the former
Viola Ethel Dolmage she "was
the daughter of the late Sydney
Dol mage and Florence Lowrie.
Educated at Seaforth Public
School and Seaforth Collegiate
she lived here until her mar-
riage to Mr. McNichol in 1943.
She was a member of Hensall
United Church.
• Mrs. McNichol is survived
by her husband, three daught-
ers, Ruth Ann, Mrs. Donald
Smale, Hensall; Barbara, Mrs.
Richard Kr use, Stratford and
Janice at home. She is also
survived by 4 grandchildren
and by three sisters, Mary, Mrs.
Harold Longman, Auburn;
Thelma, Mrs. Jack Burleigh,
Seaforth and Bernice, Mrs. Rob-
ert Norris, Staffa.
The remains are resting at,,
the R. S. Box Funeral Home, Sea-
forth where services in charge'
of Rev. E. D. Stuart of Brucefield
will, be conducted Friday after-
noon at 2 p. m. Interment will
follow in Maitlandbank Ceme-
tery.

ament at Goderich on July 1st

first prize of $40. donated by

Saturday, June 21st for the
marriage of Lynne.Elyse, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles

was provided by the choir
directed by Miss Evelyn Jarvis,
organist.
The bride, given in marriage
by her, father, designed and
made her own gown of white
and silver, brocade, a floor-
length sheath with lily point
sleeves featured a full over-
skirt extending from the back
waistline. Her veil of nylon
sheer 'edged in brocade, held
by a hand crocheted pillbox
cascaded to a cathedral train.
She carried a white prayerbook,
crested with a white orchid.
Mips Ann Mickle, Hensall,
sister of the groom, was maid
of honor and bridesmaids were

The attendants were gowned
alike in floor-length sleeveless
dresses of white swiss eyelet
over pink, featuring Empire
waistlines trimmed With 'pink
velvet ribbon. They wore short
veils and pillboxes matching
the bride's and they carried
white old-fashioned nosegays.
Steve Charlton, Montreal,
was best man, and guests were
ushered by Charles Mickle,
Hensall, brother Of the groom

the bride.
