A Hensall father a five who
fell from his homemade 20-
foot cabin cruiser Thursday night
into Lake Huron near Grand Bend
is missing and presumed dead,
Vernon Wedge, 37, was report-
ed missing at 4 a. m. Eliday by
two companions who were with
Mr. Wedge when he fell into
the lake. He is an employee at
his father's company, Wedge
the Mover, in Hensel", J oh n
Lowery and James Burwell, Hen-
sail, told provincial police at
Exeter that the inboard motor
had failed and that the boat was
adrift when Mr. Wedge fell over-
board.
Police said the two were un-
able to rescue him and remained
adrift until the vessel finally
reached shore north of St. Joseph
about nine miles north of Grand
Bend. _•
A search of the area proved
unsuccessful Exeter OPP reported.

Miss Ann Mickle left by
plane Friday morning for Mon-
treal and from there by bus to
Camp Carowanis near St. Agathe.
She will spend seven weeks there
as assistant dietition. The camp
.accommodates two groups of
100 diabetic children.

was held at Centralia, with
eighty members of the clan at-
tending from Thedford, Watford,
Forest, Grand Bend, Seaforth,
Clinton, Exeter and Hensall. A

any time in the Town of Seaforth. The
owners of dogs found running at large
may, if convicted, be subject to a penalty
of up to fifty dollars. Under by-law No.
- 682 commencing immediately Seaforth
