The mill rate in Logan
Township is up about 9 mills
this year and "it's all because
of education," said township
clerk Kenneth Reaney.
The county and township
rates remained the same as last
year : 16.37 mills county;22. 13
mills farm and residential town-
ship; 25.23 mills commercial
and industrial township.
For eleinentary education
in the Fullarton, Hibbert and
area the comparative figures
are 21. 94 F. and R. (20); 24. 38C
and 1(22). The separate school
rates are: 17.81 F and R (16.2
Dublin and 17.71 Kinkora);
19. '79 C and I (18 Dublin).
The Mitchell high' school
mill rate in Logan were set at
17. 04 F and R (11. 95); 18,93 C

Unit I held a pot luck supper
meeting with 29 ladies present.

were reminded to go to Seaforth
Manor to entertain the residents.
The fall Autumn Fair is to he
held Oct. 4.
A program followed open-
ing with a hymn and scripture
read by Ruth Cluff and prayer
by Mrs. Roe. Mrs, Don Wood
introduced the speaker, Mr.
Dave Schenk, who is the local
scout leader, He told of his trip
to the East Coast as leader of a
group of area,Boy Scouts and
showed several pictures as they
travelled 3800 miles.
