Care Termed "Too Costly" Huron' County Board of Ed- ucation, at its meeting in Cen-. tral Huron Secondary School Monday evening, decided to re- frain from enterineinto any agreement to provide fred den- tal inspection and treatment to the pupils under its jurisdiction, until June 30. The motion, by two lady mem- bers of the Board, Mrs. J. W, Wallace, Goderch, and Mrs. Mar- ian 7inn, RR 1, Dungannon fol- lowed an explanation that the proposed agreement with Huron County Board, of Health only covers inspection and treatment of pupils in one of the county schools and that the inaugura- tion of such a programme in all public schools would be too costly. Action followed receipt of a letter from the County Board of Health that, because of changes in the various Boards of Educat- ion, it would be necessary to execute a new agreement. It was pointed out that for a num- her of years, Huron, County Board of Health had provided for dental inspection and treat- merit of pupils at the North Meld Public School only. hate ofthe following "ex- tras" for the'tWo portable class- rooms at $7.560 each being pur- chased front Halliday Homes Liinited, London, *malt their agent, Xing Sales Ltd. was op- proved.- "Ozite" carpeting, .$293; 16- foot library, shelving, $165; teacher's cupboard $172;• up- right unit shelving, $122; pupils' coat rack, $99; total cost, $851.
