For the second year in' a row
Glen McLachlan, 17, R.R.3,<ip-
pen (far right) now.an ex-stu-
dent led -the pack to come in
first in the Walkathon to'Bay-
field sponsored by the S.D.H.S.
Student's Council on Friday
afternbon. His time this year
for the 17 mile Walk was two
hours 35 minutes, 20 minutes
better -than last year.
His cousin Glen Dolmage, 16
(right') R.R.4, Walton finished
five minutes later, the first
student to do so_
First girls to finish were
Brenda Dietz, 15, R.R.3, Sea-
forth, and Deborah Wallace, 15,
R.R.4, Seaforth.
The walk attracted more than
350 area students and teachers
and walkers continued'to reach
the finish in Bayfield as Tate
as fiVe hours after the Noon
start from the school.
Proceeds'will go towards sup-
porting the adoption of a child
overseas and for other area Wel-
f&re projects. No estimate of
the returns is available as
pledges continue to come in but
a total should be available in
a few days officials said:„
