church, Ontario were united in
marriage in a double ring cere-
mony by Rev. J. C. Britton.
The bride was dressed in a
white suit with navy accessories
and corsage of red roses.
She was attended by her sister
Miss Ruth Powdll, London, wear-
ing a mauve suit with mauve
and black accessories with cor-
sage of yellow roses.
The groomsman was Rodney
Furness of Whitechurch, broth- •
er of the groom.
After a wedding dinner at
Tiger Dunlop Inn, Goderich, the
bridal couple left for a trip to
Northern Ontario. They will re- •
side in Stratford.

Stuart Kelly, inenrance Sales-

to Mitchell Council on Monday
night at a special meeting of the
Council with Mayor Harold Cook
presiding. He will fill the, vac-
ancy created When Councillor
Ray Robinson was appointed
Deputy Reeve for the balance
of the year replacing the late
Lorne Aitchison.
The Council agreed to Alva
financial backing to the com-
mittee formed for the installat-
ion of flood lights on the ball .

and School Associations was the
new name approved by the mem-
hers of the Stratford and Dis-
trict Council of Home. and School
Aesociations• at The annual meet-
ing held In Trinity. Anglican
Church, Mitchell, Tuesday night.
It was felt the former name was
Misleading for a council which
represented associations from
both counties. It will have same
boundaries' as those of Perth
Board of Echication and the Hur-
on Board of Education. .
William H. Cardwell, Mitchell,
was appointed Council's educat-
ion liason •officer to the Perth
Board of Education. Ithoped
to, have a similar appointment
made to the Huron County
Board in the neat future.
,Mrs. Archibald CoOper, Mit-
chell, was reelected president
of the Perth-Huron Council;
Mrs: Walter Stocker, Stratford,
vice-pretident; Mfrs. Robert Wil-
kinson, Stratford, secretary; Mrs.,
Peter Boogerman, Stratford, cor-
responding secretary; Arthur
Stanbury, Mitchell, treasurer.
