Susan Luther 12, grade 8 stu-
dent at Hensall School,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs', Eric
Luther IS resting comfortably
in South Huron Hospital, Exe-
ter, following an accident over
the weekend from, which she
sustained' a fractured pelvis and
bruises: Susan was riding a
horse and 'as she went to turn
into a lane at Harold Elder's,
RR 2, Henn*, the horse mot a
car driven by Brian FieldS, 16,
RR 2, Hensall, were in collision.
Susan was thrown off the horse
which had to be destroyed. She
will be in hospital for several
weeks. OPP Giffin of Exeter
detachment investigated.
Mr.. Charles Mickle left by
plane last week for Bethlehem,
Pa. Where he will resume his
studies at Lehigh University af-
ter spending two week's vaca-
tion. with his parents, relatives
and friends.
The --regular meeting of St.
Pauls ACW was held on Thurs-
day with nine members present.
Mrs. Annie Reid, president,
read devotions and prayers.

Whereas the Children's Aid Sot
cietyis dedicated to securing and im-
proving the welfare of all children.
And Whereas the welfare of all child-
ren is a prime concern of all citizens
interested in the future of our coun-
try, I, by virtue of the powers vested
in me, do hereby proclaim civic sup-
port for the CHILDREN'S AID
WEEK which is being observed April
20-26 and call on all citizens to lend
their interest, support and co-opera-
•tion in making this a-success in every
way.

First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth was the scene of a very
lovely spring wedding on April
5th at 7:30 in the evening when
Cheryl Ann Scott and Bevan'
James Bonthron were united in
marriage in a double ring cere-
mony performed by the Rev. D.
0. Fry. The church was decorat-
ed with candelabras and Easter
The bride, given in marriage
by her brother, James,. wore a
white floor length pole-dc poiret
A-line dress with jewel neckline
and full length. sleeves. A dot-
ted French silk illusion hooded.
coat with scallpped edges and
bell sleeves was worn over the
dress. She carried a bouquet of
chasta daisies and blue stephan-
otis.
The Maid of Honor, Miss El-
aine Kennedy of Stratford, was
gowned in a pale pink chiffon
over crepe floor length dress
with cowl neckline and full
length sleeves. Miniature roses
held a matching tulle headpiece.
Her bouquet consisted of chaste

A successful silent bake sale
followed. Afternoon tea was ,ser-
ved by the hostesses,. Mrs. Mur-
ray Christie; Mrs: Ed Dearing
and Mrs. Sam Norris.
Miss Edna Miller, of London
spent the week end with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Mil-
ler.
Miss Mary Jane Templeman
visited over the week end with
Miss Dianne Miller.
Mr: and Mrs. Eric Norris, East
Lansing, Michigan; visited over ,
the week end with Mrs. ,Sant
Norris and Mr. and Mrs'. Bob
Norris and family.
Bob .Templeman has comple-
ted his first year-at the Univer-
sity of Guelph and is home for
the summer.

Chamber of Commerce Week April' 20-26
Whereas the Seaforth Chamber of Commerce
is a voluntary organization of citizens working to-
gether to improve business, to build a better corn-.
munity and to develop better citizenship in our com-
munity, our province and our country. I, by virtue of
the powers vested in me, do hereby, proclaim civic
support for the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'
WEEK being observed April 20-26 and call on all
citizens to lend their interest, support and co-opera-
tion in making this a succeSs in every way.
Mr. Brian Bonthron, Nassau,
Bahamas, brother of the groom,
was the groomsman and the ush-
ers were Mr.. Wayne Scott, bro-
ther of the bride, ,Seaforth and
Mr. pill Soldan, of Hensel'.
.Mrs. Cleave Coombs sang the
"Wedding Prayer" and "My
World" accompanied by Mrs.
'John Cardno at the organ.
A reception was held at the
Seaforth Curling Club. Mrs.
Scott greeted.the guests wearing
a navy, and white two-piece
crepe ensemble, navy acces-
sories with corsage of red and
white roses and Mrs. Bonthron
wore a lime green shantung jew-
elled coat .dress with matching
hat and accessories and corsage
of tinted green roses.
For travelling the bride don-
ned a black and. white cheek
ensemble with matching access-
dries and a corsage of red roses.
The couple will reside in Tor-
onto.

onto, Belleville, Galt, Nassau,
Hensall, Exeter, and Stratford.
