A new extractor installed in the laundry at a cost of $2,600 is working satisfactorily. The purchase became necessary some Weeks ago 'when the 15- year-old extractor in use be- came unserviceable. The new unit has a capacity of 80 pounds. The laundry is processing about 3,000 , pounds . a week, Tenders will close next week on changes in the emergency entrance area to accommodate a communications centre.. The plans provide as well• for an admitting office for outpatients to accommodate the large in- crease in, outpatients. At the same time, under the new pro- vincially sponsored• ambulance scheme, area ambulances will be despatched from the centre. • The estimated cost of $2,500 will be covered by a grant as also will be the cost of 'a radio telephone installation. . His body was discovered when friends called early Tues- day evening for a Meeting that 'had been arranged. Mr. Blue had been alone-in the home while his wife was visiting a daughter in Oshawa. He was 58. Boma., in . Prince Edwaid Is- - -he-hadebeen a resident of Eginofidfille since '1952 where he conducted a farm equipment business. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Florence Buell ,and four daughters, Shirley, Mrs: Leslie Nicolle, Oshawa; Bet- ty, Mrs. Bernie Talbot, Kitch- ener; Merle, Mrs. Lyle Gordon, Preston; and Miss Faye Blue, Kitchener.
