munity Hospital Sunday, with
third degree' burns to his hands
and face.
The accident occurred at his
James.Street residence when he
attempted to extinguish cooking

Miss Margaret' Case, Reg. N.,
of Seaforth, was taken 'to Clin-
ton Public 'Hospital for emer-
gency treatment' Thursday after
her car collided with a second
vehicle Ms Highway 4, 21/2 miles
south of Blyth.
Miss Case received facial lac-
erations and broken ribs. She
later was able to return to• hen
home.

• For nearly 35 years a promin-
ent Huron farmer and business-
man Wilfrid Lyall (Nick) Whyte
died Sunday in Clinton Public
Hospital. He had been ill about
five weeks. He was 61.
Born and educated in Strat-
ford, he was the son of the late
Mr, and Mrs. John Whyte. Short-
ly 'after his graduation from On-
tario Agricultural College in
Guelph he was married in 104
to the former Margaret. McMil-
lan of Hullett. Mr. Whyte as-
sumed direction of the McMil-
lan farms and carried on an ex•
tensive farming operation in
the township with particular
emphasis on poultry-,
