_ _The Sabbath Sebool anniversary at
Ebenezer, last Sunday and Monday, was a
grand noose. The ohuroh was densely
crowded at both services, aud:also at the
tea meeting on Monday evening. The,
children of the sohool and.the church choir
supplied. a fine programme of singing and.
recitations, which was supplemented by
three fine solos by Her A E; Smith, of
Moorefield, and interspersed by speeches
from Dr Godfrey, of Belgrave, who was
chairman, Rev Bobt Godfrey, BeyJames

to present from the outside,a somewhat
finished appearance, and, will be a model
of beauty. But, a great deet of work re-
mains to bg=doue within. The ceiling is
completed and will be oue of, the chief' at-
tractions of the interior made as his of
gray. ash artistically pauneled and relieved
by false principals and foul mouldings. Mr
Roddick, of Bruseels, has the contract for
the painting and .is., at work upon
parts of the building.

Mr. E. G. Wilde on the „25th May
1889 made an application for Ineur-

therein and being on Lot 21, in the
12th con,-(ialross. Last January an

the 25th January, 1890, he mortgtiged

property." the applicant answered,
allo."Ass matter of fact, there was
an insurance on a portion of said pro.
Porte', but I am not informed whether
er not the applicant had any knowledge
ofit I amofopiiiion(thoughnot without
some doubt)•that the policy would not
be.voided on that ground. It appears
that the'first policy of insurance was
renewed by the Loari Company last
Julie. If this fact carne to the know
ledge of the. insured and he did not
notify your Oorupeny, t afn:of opin-
ion that the policy would be void, I.
am.further of opinion that 'the none
payment of the assessment and the
omission to notify your Company of
the existence of the said mortgages
vitiates the policy,"
