• The N. D. R. Huron Riding
Association met in Hayfield at
Mrs. R. Pemberton's home with
Wilfred Glazier presiding.
Heinz Hoernig of Ben Miller,
President of the N.D.P. Huron-
Bruce Association was present
to confer as to ways and means
of co-ordinating the activities of
the Federal and Provincial
Associations.
Notice has been received that
the N.D.P. National Convention
will be held in the Civic Centre
at Ottawa, April 21 - 24. A
membership meeting will be
called to elect delegates and a
committee will be set up to
receive and consider resolut-
ions for presentation at the con-
vention. The meeting was told
the provincial Council will send
an organizer to Huron early next
year to advise on campaigns.
The meeting considered a
IUU,,t i communication from Gordon
tt Vichert, Ontario N.D.P.Presid-
ent' setting out the N.D.P. posit-
ion on the War Measures Act.
Discussion of Resolutions on
Farm Policy, Health Services
and Education which were ap-
proved at the October Provincial
Convention took place. "They
are now Provincial policy" Mr.
Glazier emphasized, "and we
must consequently familiarize
ourselves with them,"
A finance committee was set
up including David Weary, Herb
Klopp and Jack Van Egmond.
Ideas for a fund-raising project
included a suggestion that a
dinner be held with an N.D.P.
member of the Legislature as
speaker.
