EXPLORERS MEET
The Explorer group met Tue-
sday evening with the president
Miss Cathy Taylor leading. Miss
Beverly Cantelon read the Scrip-
ture lesson, prayer by Mary
Anne Kalbfleisch. Miss Sylvia
Wilson read the minutes and
Roll Call was answered by nam-
lug a favorite T.V. show. Miss
Brenda Dowson took up the oft-
ering and it was dedicated by
Miss Anna Marie Heard. The
financial report was given by
Miss Tanis Chuter. The Study
book was taken by Mrs. Barry
Taylor , Mrs. Eric Chuter had
charge of the Craft period. Musi-
cal chairs were played for rec-
reation. Miss Cathy Taylor
closed the meeting.

AUXILIARY
WOMEN'S
A profit of over $60 was
made by the Hospital Auxiliary
at the Tupperware Party at First
Presbyterian Church on Tuesday
evening.
Mrs. Margaret Thompson of
Mitchell was in charge of the
program, assisted by Bert Web-
ster of London who showed a
film on Tupperware.
A lucky draw was won by
Mrs. Jack Patterson.'
The event was in charge of
Miss Alice Reid, while the lunch
was served by Mrs. Clare Reith
and her committee.
The Ontario Government is
pushing banks and mortgage com-
panies to put up money to build
15,000 more' homes as part of
a drive to provide jobs this
winter.
The Government itself is
ready to start on a backlog of
public works projects to increase
activity in the construction in-
dustry, according to Premier
John Robarts.
Lands' and Forests Minister
Rene Brunelle announced this
week that all people over 65
years of age would not be re-
quired to buy a fishing licence.
This was a matter which the
Opposition had pressed for clur,
ing the consideration of the Es-
timates of Lands and Forests.
I'm sure this is welcome news
for all old age pension fishing
enthusiasts.

early February, depending on

visited The ExpoSitor to see how it is produced. Here they

offset printing process by which the newspaper is published.
The students were accompanied by a teacher, Mrs. Sheila
Morton (top) who is helping them publish the paper.

CWL Hears Reports
The C.W. L. meeting was held
in the parish hall with Mrs.
tal Hickey, president, in the chair.
The meeting was opened with
prayer by Father Cassino. Min-
utes of last meeting were read
by Mrs. Bill Kinihan. Corres-
pondence was read by Mrs.Wil-
liam Redmond. A thank you
card from Mrs. Niel Stapleton
and Murrin, one from Christine
Stapleton were read. A donation
to the League from David Mac-
Allister was received. Mrs.
Cyril Boyle reported 32 paid
members, 12 being 'present at
the meeting. A report of the
Deanery meeting held i n Stratford
was given by Mrs. Gus Redmond.
It was decided to buy a new
floor polisher for the Church and
ran electric kettle for the kitchen.
Mrs. Hickney gave a report on
the bake sale held Oct. 10th. The
proceeds were $132.00. She also
thanked the ladles who donated
and helped prepare dinner for
the Priest Deanery meeting held
in St. Augustine Church. '
It was agreed to hold a series
of card parties again this winter.
Lunch conveners for December
are Mrs. Alex MacAnnis and
Mrs. Wm. Redmond.
Mrs. James Phalen spent the
week end with her daughter, Mrs.
Cyril Boyle.

the band concert in Goderich on
Sunday by Sisters of St. Joseph
