Thieves Enter School
Thieves broke into Seaforth
Public School Thursday night but
left almost empty-handed. How-
ever they caused about $500 worth
of damage in their hunt for money.
Doors on the principal's office
and the storeroom were smashed
when the thieves entered the
rooms and the combination dial
on a vault in the . office was
knocked off.
The vandals also entered all
the classrooms and removed
money from the Red Cross col-
lection jars. Vice-principal Gary
Jewltt said that less. than $10 was
taken.
Efforts to enter the vault were,
unsuccessful but even if the
thieves had gained entry they
would have, been disappointed as
the vault is used for storing
records only. Nothing of value
is kept in it.
