Presbyterian Group Has Thankoffering The Barbara Kirkman and First Chu'rch .W.M.S_ held their Fall Thankoffering meeting in the Church Hall on Thursday afternoon when members of se- veral area societies were pre- sent as guests, Mrs. Elmer Rivers president of the Barbara Kirkman, opened the meeting with words of welcome and read a poem "The Little Things." "Come, Ye Thankful People Come" was sung. The Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Elgin NOtt taken from Psalm 100 Prayer was offered by Mrs. Mae Habkirk, Mrs, Donald Bode fa- voured with solos "I have"found a Hiding Place" and "It took a Miracle" accompanied by Mrs. M. Mc- Millan, The dedication was given by Mrs. Jas. Keys. Mrs, Francis Coleman told a story and also gave a poem on "Your Best". Mrs. Dale Nixon introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Clayton Edward of Goderich. She took for her subject "Thanksgiving and Thankoffering" and said that Christians have the greatest cause for joy and should share our Christianity. She ended the message with prayer. The whiners now have a record of 7 - 0 for the season.' They have defeated Stratford, Central, St. Marys, Central Huron at Clinton, Stratford Nurthwestern,.Vv'Ingharn and Lis- tome I . Larry Kale kicked two goals to lead Seaforth over Central Huron in the playoff action. Also scoring for the victors were Tom Murray,' Rick Mc- Donald and Doug. O'Reilly. For Central Huron Vic.
