memeers answered the roll call.
Mrs . Bob Dalton presided and,
opened the meeting by:singing a
hymn. Mrs. Ken Thompson:, sec-
retaty read the minutes of the
last meeting. Mrs. Doug. Schrol-
der read the scripture. Mrs. Bob
Dalton lead in prayer and read a
poem. The next meeting will be
the supper meeting. The supper
will be held the 3rd M enday in
November with the winners
entertaining the losers. Mrs.
Eric Anderson and Mrs. Bill Mc-
Clure served, lunch.
Bob Blackwell, Seaforth, has
opened a "Diversified Equipment
and Supply Shop" in the former
Orange Hall, Winthrop. He will
be doing' custom welding as well
as repairing and servicing wel-
ders, etc.
Mrs. Harold Storey attended a
shower held for Mrs. Wayrfe Riley
at the home of Mrs. Bob Riley,
Blyth.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Dodds and
children visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Anthony Gelderland and Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Gelderland and
children, Ridgetown. -

The names of Pauline Coyne
and Trudy Claessens were inad-
vertently omitted from the list

with a competition carried on by
pupils of St. Columban School

held at Atwood on Thursday. Mrs.

The Stella W.I. catered to the
Staffa girl's ball banquet on Sat-
urday evening in the township
hall. Following the dinner, the
ball team and their friends
enjoyed a dance.

Cleave wedding. in the First Pres-

a week with his son and daughter-

tives of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin
Nairn gathered at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert 'Gardiner
on Saturday, October 10th to
honor Mr. and Mrs. Nairn on
the occasston of their thirty-
fifth wedding anniversary. The
evening was spent playing euchre,
followed with a smorgasbord
lunch and anniversary cake.

Coleman wedding as guests from
this area were Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Coleman, Mr. and Mrs.
Carter Kerslake, Mrs. Grace
Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Ken
McKellar. The bride is a daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Coleman and the wedding took
place in First Presbyterian
Church, Seaforth on Saturday.

Staffa, enjoyed a few days holi-
days last week, motoring as far
as Ottawa and visiting points of
interest along the way, including
a stop-off at the Provincial Plow-
ing Match at Lindsay.

Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Jefferson, Munro.
Mrs. Hazel Sadler of Sault-
Ste. Marie spent a week visiting
her many friends In this commun-
ity.

Mrs. Orval Storey and her
group of young step dancers in-
cluding Vicky Harris, Marlene
Glanville, Beth McNichol, Con-
nie Beuerman and Dianne Old-
field entertained at Huronview
this past week. Also attending
were Sherry Storey and Vicky
Bennewies. The group presented
Highland dancing, the Hornpipe
and step dancing. Linda Godkin
played the piano. Jill Wheatley
played the piano and sang a solo.
The Henderson children sang
and Nelson Howe played the
violin.

Miss Lois Godkin, bride elect
of Saturday , was guest of honour
at a shower Tuesday evening held
in Winthrop Church for friends
and neighbours. The program
conducted by Mrs. Stanley Hillen
consisted of sing-songs led by
Mrs. Gordon Price; violin se-
lections by Linda Godkin accome
periled by her mother; contests
by Mrs. James Axtmann and
piano solos by Jane Johnson.
Mrs. Audrey Beuerrnann read
an address after which the bride
elect was presented with many
gifts . Lois expressed her %exiles
to everyone and lunclewas served.
