Miss Eleanor Armour of •
Auckland, New Zealand was a
guest of Mrs. Wallace Haugh
when she came to visit friends
at Brucefield. She is the daugh-
ter of the late Rev. C. G. and Mrs.
Armour, who was minister of
Brucefield United Church 1923-
26. Mrs. (Rev.) D. Stewart had 0
asked friends to her home to
meet Eleanor who had expressed
a wish to see the manse and the
church.
It was a unique occasion as
45 years ago September 26 th
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Scott had been
married by Miss Armour's
father. They were there to
greet and welcome her, as well
as friends and members of the
choir as both Mr. and Mrs.Ar-
mour contributed much to the
musicAf the church.
After the gathering Miss Ar-
mour said that she was over-
whelmed by the fact that so many
remembered her parents after
44 years. Rev, and Mrs. Armour
both died in 1933 while in Aurora.
Their daughter has been living
in New Zealand since then - her
father's birth place.
