All the committees for the
Organization of the 1972 Inter-
national Plowing Match to be
held in Perth County have their
chairmen.
At a joint meeting of the local
committee for the 1972 match and
the Perth County Plowmen's
Association held at the Colisetim
in Stratford on Wednesday night
the list of chairmen was cam-
' pleted.
- Chairman for the 1972 match
to be held just north of Sebring-
vile on several farms in El-
lice Township, Ellard Lange,
explained that he, along with the
help of PCPA executive and
assistance from W. N. T. Ash-.
ton, Perth's ag rep, prepared a
list of possible committee chair-
men for the meeting to approve.
After those nominated ac-
cepted and the meeting voted in
favor of the list, other plans for
the '72 match were discussed.
Jack Graul, chairman of the
bands and parades corn rnItee,
with the help of Walter Mogk,
chairman of the health and sani-
tation committee, agreed to look
into the possibility of putting what .
used to be the Milverto,n district
high school girls' band back to-
gether again for use in prom6t-
ing the International match in
' Perth. ,
The band disbanded when
school ended in June because the
Milverton high school was closed
as a high school and students
who used to go there are now
attending schools in Listowel and
Stratford. Mr. Graul promised
to have a report on his findings
ready for Perth County Council
when it meets Sept. 15.
Mr. Lange, a member of Perth
County council, said that either
the county council or the plow-
mart's association would be
willing to pay the costs involved
in getting the band back together.
The PCPA used the Milverton
band for its promotional
activities at the annual conven-
tion in Toronto of the Ontario
Plowman's Association earlier
this year.
Further plans were made for
the Perth plowing match to be
held Ort. 3 on the farm of
Clifford Miller, Hibbert Town-
ship. Demonstration day for
students-wanting assistance with
competition plowing will be
Sept. 26, according to Max
Aitcheson, chairman of the
RCP,A, on the farm of Rudolph
Bauer in Logan Township.
Committee chairmen for the
1972 match include: Wilfred See-
bach, land; Lloyd Morrison, trac-
tors; Gary Struthers, publicity;

Stephens, banquet; Mrs.Howard
Lowe, lunches; Albert Carson,

DATSUN 1600
fr 2215
Datsuns came first, second, third and fifth in the
1970 East'African Safari Rally.
Nine out of nineteen cars to finish were ours. —
We won the Canadian Winter Rally.
We won the 10,000 miles Around Australia Rally.
We won our class in the last Shell 4000.
We won the Canadian National Rally
Championship in 1967 and' 1969, and we're
way out in front again this time.
We've proved our car a winner time' after time.
year after year.
Here's why.
Not just for glory
We did it to-seetwhat Datsun could do under
extreme driving conditions, We wanted to test our
car to its limits, under the worst possible conditions
against the best possible competition.
And as a result of the results, today all Datsun
drivers get superb performance, ironclad durability,
smooth handling and up to 35 miles to the gallon.
Here's what the competition's got to beat
96 horse m'erhead camshaft engine. Dual barrel'
carb, Alternator. Independent rear suspenSion.
Unit-body construction. Lots'of no-cost extras.
Like bucket seats, front disc brakes2door-to-door
carpet, and flow-through ventilation.
And of course, the complete safety package
including telescopic shock-absorbing steering
column, headrests, harnesses, and four-way flashers
is standard. The pnly options are a radio and
3-speed automatic transmission.
We want to be fair
Without the untiring efforts of the competition we
wouldn't he where we are today. Out front. We
want to thank them, because the harder they try,
the harder we have to try. And that's good
for. everybody. •
