Mrs. Robt. McKinley
Born in McKillop
Has 95th Birthday
A former McKillop resident
celebrated her 95th birthday
recently when friends called
at the home of her daughter, Mrs,
Jack Scotchmer, R.R. 3, Hayfield
to congratulate her.
Mrs. Robert McKinley, the
former Jean Campbell was 95 on
August 23.
Mrs. McKinley was born in
McKillop Township north of Sea-
forth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Campbell. She received her
elementary ,schooling at No.4
McKillop, and attended Seaforth
Collegiate Institute and Model
School in Mitchell.
Her teaching career started
August 1,1896 at S.S.No. 3 Stanley,
Front Road School and she taught
in. many Huron County Schools
including Goshen and. Babylon.
In 1911 she' married ,Robert
McKinley and they lived on their
farm, on the Goshen Line for a
number of years. Her family4n-
eludes: Campbell who.resides on
the home farm and Margaret,
Mrs. Jack' Scotchmer, R.R. 3,
Hayfield, four grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McKinley enjoys good
health and enjoyed meeting all
who came to call,

sant Afternoon on Saturday at
Londesboro Hall visiting and
playing games.
To give the. occasion an Irish
atmosphere, the tables were dec-
orated with blarney stones and
•shamrocks, 'and an arrangement.

garden, The host and hostess of
the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Les
Bristow, presented their tours
of Ireland in story and coloured
slides. The pictures took the
via/Ws from the, glass works
of Waterford to the Giant Cause-
way, from the Lakes of Killar-
Heir and Shannon River-to the
busy streets of Dublin and other
cities. The scenery included
'thatched cottages, mountains,
donkeys' pulling carts, ruins of
castles and abbles, and village
homes.
All joined in singing Peggie
O'Neil and It's A Long Way to
Tipperary accompanied on the
piano by Mrs. Melvin Raynard.
Mrs. Mervyn Lobb was presented
with a pair of mugs made in
Ireland by Mrs. Mary Bristow
