' Thomas Barr Govenlock, well
known McKillop Township farmer
and member of a pioneer area
family, died suddenly on Thurs-
day. He was 59.
Born in McKillop he was the
only son of Robert Govenlock
and Margaret Barr. He was
educated at Seaforth Public
School and graduated from Sea-
McLAUGHLIN — To Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph McLaughlin, Sea-
forth, at Seaforth Communi-
ty Hospital, on August 24th,
a daughter.
DILLON — To Mr. and Mrs.
Hardy Dillon, Mitchell, at Sea-
forth Community Hospital, on
August 24, a son.

Leslie, predeceased him in 1964,
He was a member of Northside
United Church.
The body was 'at the G, A.
Whitney funeral home, Seaforth
where the funeral service was
held Wednesday at 2 p.m. con-
ducted by Rev. J. C. Britton.
Serial followed in. Mattlandbank
Cemetery.' Pallbearers were
Russel Bolton, Harold Bolton,
Louis Bolton, Gordon Pryce,
Oliver Pryce and Harold Pryce.
Flower bearers were Douglas
Doerr, Charles Williamson,
Roger Pryce and Robert pryce.

Mr. Govenlock served on the
Roxboro school board. He was
active in the National Farm era

He is survived by his widow,
the former Mae S. Greenless,
to whom he was married in
Indianna in 1938 and by two sons
Robert C., 137 Empress Ave.,
Hilton Park and Neil A. at home.
He is also survived by three
stepgrandchildren.
A funeral • service was held
Saturday .from the R.S.Box Fun-
eral home, conducted by Rev. J.
,pre Stewart. During the ser-
vice Sam Scott sang a solo,
"The Old Rugged Or_oss":
interment followed in Malt-
landbank Cemetery, pallbearers
being Con Eckert, Arable Smith,
Frank Lamont, Gordon Elliott,
Orville Storey and John Hender-
son. Flower bearers were Wm.
Kyle and Graham Kerr.

cats three months of -age and over. Owners who require certif-
icates of vaccination for export or other purposes should con-
suit their private veterinary. No certificates wil be issued at

MRS. ROBERT WRIGHT
Friends in Seaforth. learned
this week of the sudden death
on August 1st of Wes. Robert
Wright, as she was returning
to Canada from a holiday in
Scotland.
Mrs. Wright and her husband,
a former accountant at the Tor-
onto-Dominion Bank here, were
on a holiday trip to the British
''sles following his recent re-
tirement as Manager of the bank
at New Dundee. They had boarded
an aircraft for the return trip
to Canada and while awaiting
take-off, Mrs. Wright was strick-
en by a heart attack.
The remains were brought to
Canada and burial took place in.
Kitchener.

and Eleanor entertained their
relatives and friends Saturday
evening in Staffa hall, honour-
ing their son and daughter-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. David Kemp,
who were recently married and
will be leaving this week for
Broughton Island, N. W. T. Danc-
ing was enjoyed to the music
of the Blenders. Wayne Schrader
read an address of good wishes
with Lee Miller and, Patti Norris
making the presentation. Both
David and Audrey expressed their
appreciation. A bountiful lunch
brought the evening to a close.
Hibbert Community Young
People enjoyed a bus trip on
Sunday to the Midland area where
they toured the Martyrs Shrine
and Huronia Village.
Bill yorden, Alec Scott, Rob
Templeman and Don McLeod are
enjoying a . motor trip to the
West Coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harburn
returned home last week from a
motor trip to Manitoba.
Karen Miller holidayed this
past week with her aunt, Mrs.
Rose Harris, Chiselhurst.

- JOHN PRYCE
John Pryce, 76, of 63 Jarvis
Street, Seaforth, died suddenly
on Sunday.
He was born in Mullet Tow,i-
ship and attended school at S.S.
6, McKillop. His wife, the for-
mer Corra Staples, to whom he
was married in 1919, died June
23, 1970 and since that time had
lived alone. A farmer in M4:-
Killop all his life, , he retired to
Seaforth in 1952.
'He is survived by daughters,
Beatiece, of London; Mrs. Aaron
(Jean) Doerr, of Gait, Mrs. Rob-
ert(Helen)Parsons, of Cromarty,
a son, Alvin Pryce of Kitchener.
Also surviving are 15 grandchild-
ren, nine great grandchildren,
and a sister, Mrs. Scott Bolton
of McKillop Township-.. A son,
