Baker, Goderich St. W., attended the 120th Anniversary and annual Decoration Service of St. And- rew's Presbyterian Church, North Easthope Township on Sun- ,day. Mrs. Baker represented the descendants of the Bullard Clan whose ancestors were pioneers in Perth County (then Huron Cou- nty) in 1837. St. Andrew's Church, although closed for regular ser- vice in 1966, has just been re- stored through the efforts and donations of the residents and former' residents of North East- hope Township. Following the special church services, the North Easthope Pipe Band played a fitting tri- bute for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Ruskin Keys, Windsor, called on friends in town-on Sunday. Mrs. W. H. Arthur of Miami, was the guest of her mother, Mrs. F. J; Bechely. Mr . Neville McMillan and Cornish Hens Are a Treat Get acquainted' with Cornish Hens. These tender little birds: are sold whole, weigh about a pound each and are all light meat. You can usually find them in the frozen food department or in the poultry section of your local su- permarket. Home economists - suggest stuffing each bird with a tangy carrot dressing, then slow- ly roasting them on a barbecue rotisserie. Each bird is served, as an appetizing individual din- ner. STUFFED CORNISH HENS 1. Thaw 6-frozen Cornish game hens. 8tuff, but don't pack, with carrot dressing. 2t Truss birds, skewering open- ings, tieing wings to body and legs to tail. Using a long holding fork, mount birds cross wise on spit, alternating front-back, front -back. Do not have birds-touching. 3. Brush birds with batter and lemon juice. 4, Attach spit and turn on motor. Have medium coals at back of firebox and drip pan under birds. Roast about one hour or until tender, basting frequently with butter and lemon juice. Serves six. CARROT DRESSING 1 cup all-purpose flour " 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 cup dry bread crumbs, light- ly browned in butter . 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup btuwn sugar 1 egg 1 cup finely shredded carrots 1 tbsp. parsley flakes '1. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and spices,, Stir in crumbs and nuts. 2. Cream butter with brown su- gar. ' add egg; mix well; blend in carrots and parsley. 3. Lightly stir carrot mixture into dry ingredients. MAIN STREET sons, Christopher and Jamie, of Collingwood visited his mother Mrs. J.. hi. McMillan on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, .A.
