Mrs. Gilchrist Coppin, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Scott last. week. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. F. Scott attended a wedding in Toronto last week. Mrs. Henry J. Neeb , of Tavistock is spending several weeks visiting her daughter, Mrs. William Brown and Mr. Brown, Jarvis Street. Miss Nancy Nott, daughter of Mrs. Winnie Nott and friend, Miss Joyce Salmon are home from Honolulu for a visit to Seaforth, London, Kitchener' and other points in Ontario and New York. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Neubauer and daughter, Mrs. Don Smith were week end visitors with Mrs. Wm. Oldfield and attended the Kruse reunion on Sunday at Lions Park. Mr. Craig Sherwood and friend of Montreal were guests sir Mrs. Edwin P. Chesney over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Doug. Fry of Timmins were here attending the Habkirk-Papple wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Murdock of Detroit were guests of Mrs. J. D. Cairns and Mrs. Zurback of Stratford was also a guest of Mrs. Cairns. Mr. and Mrs. E. Kenny have returned by train from a holiday in Manitoba Where they visited friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Armstrong, Debbie, Brian and friend , St. Catharines, attended the Habkirk-Pappler wedding and are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jackson. Mrs. Don Carter, Joanne and Janice, and Mrs. Wm. Brown, Jarvis Street, attended the annual memorial and decoration service Sunday afternoon at Trinity Luth- eran Church in Tavistock. Miss Ginger Chamberlain, of Kitchener, is visiting with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Brown, Jarvis Street. • Mrs. Muriel Miller, Mr. and M.rs. Barry Miller of rkton and Mr. and Mrs. Everard Kerslake, Denise and Barbara, R.R 2, Staffs, attended the wedding re- ceptiontof Mr. and Mrs. Harry McCaughney at Breslau. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Miller of San Bernardino, California and Mrs. Margaret Chamberlain of London called during the week end at the home of Mrs. Muriel Miller. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Mc- Spadden of Norwich were guests at the home of the former's father, Mr. Zack McSpadden, Goderich Street on Sunday. Rev. B. and Mrs. McSpadden of Toronto were Sunday guests of their father, Mr. Zack Ma- Spadden. Mrs. M.:Spadden is spending a week in Seaforth and Hayfield. Mrs. Will McSpadden and Earl were guests of Mr . and Mrs. Earle Hawley on Sunday. • Harold Jackson has sold the Leopold Van Egmond property in Egmondville to Mr. Ken Bassett. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jenkins and family visited with Mr. and Mrs.--elarence Martin and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pryce over the week end. W.I. Plans Tour of Hospital Mrs. R. M. Scott was hoStess for the August meeting of the Seaforth W. I. with Mrs.Gordon McKenzie as co-hostess, when plans were, completed for the tour of the` Ontario Hospital at Goderich replacing the Septem- ber meeting. • The president, Mrs. Erlin Whitmore, conducted the opening exercises., The Historical Research and current events program planned by convenors Mrs. R J. Doig and Mrs. Lorne Dale, was chaired by Mrs. Doig, who had as her guest Miss Kim Riley singing two favorite numbers. Guest of the evening, Mrs. pat Bennett, shared her recent tour of, the British Isles with memberS both in pictures and corn mentation. The Roll Call - a school picture you are in, recalled many memories. The motto "A Life that serv'eslives on and on" was giVen by Mrs, Dale.
