Couple Celebrate
Silver Anniversary
The Orange Hall was filled to
capacity Friday evening as
friends, neighbours and relatives
gathered to honor Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Miller on the occaslenof
their silver anniversary.
Euchre was played, the win-
ners being: Ladies high, Mrs.
Leonard Strong; low, Mrs. Art
Devereaux; men's high, Mr. Or-
ville Blake; low Mr. Gerald Fi-
sher.
John Oldfield read an address
and many gifts were presentedto
the couple by Mrs. Mike Wil-
liams, Mrs. Victor Lee, Mrs.
Lloyd Haney and Mrs. John Old-
field.

pressed appreciation after which
everyone sang "For they are jol-
ly Good Fellows".
Miss Dianne Oldfield enter-
tained with a step dance.

Church was the setting for the
marriage of Rickl Willems,
daughter of John Willems, R.R.
No. 4, Seaforth and the late
Mrs.' Willems , and Gilbert
VanSteelandt, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George Vansteelandt,R.R.
No. 2, Dublin. Rev. H. Laragh
officiated at the double-ring
ceremony. White Enums adorn-
ed the altar.
The bride, given in mar-
riage by her' father, wore a
gown of the Edwardian period
of organza , crepe with lace
stand-up collar and the bodice
and sleeves appliqued with lace
fhiwers. Her three tier lace
edged veil was held by a pill
box. She carried a cascade
of coral roses.
The maid of, honor was the
bride's sister, Gerda Willems
of R.p,No. 4, Seaforth and Carol-
ine Willems, niece of the bride,
was the flower girl. The brides-
maids were Josephine Willems,
sister of the bride, R.R. No. 4,
Seaforth and Christina Goosens,
sister of the grooms Brantford.
They were dressed alike in im-
ported coral Italian mitre with
stand-up collar, Icing puffed ale-
eves and accented with a bow
and flowing streamers at the a
back. They each carried' a
cascade of white. - mums and
coral carnations.
The groomsman was, Frank
VanSteelandt, brother of the
groom, ILR. No. 2, Dublin and
the guests were ushered by John .
Willems, brother of the bride,
R.R. No. 4, Seaforth and Gary
Smith, Delhi.
The , soloist, Maryanne Seg-
eren, sang "0 Perfect Love",
"Ave Maria", "Glory to the
Father" and "On This Day 0
Beautiful Mother" accompanied
by the organist, Mrs. A. Stiles.
The groom's,gift to the, bride
was a watch and the bride's gift
to the groom was engraved cliff-
links and tie tack.
The dinner and evening, re-
ception were held in the Legion
Hall, Seaforth. The groom's
mother received the guests wear-
ing a gold brocade dress with
matching coat, gold accessories
and corsage of bronze mums and
yellow roses.
The bride and groom were
shown the Town of Seaforth in a
horse and buggy.
Guests were present from
Vanessa, Toronto, Delhi, Brant-
ford, Sarnia, Dublin, Auburn,
Zurich, Aylmer, Lucknow, Wal-
ton and London.
For their wedding trip
to Florida and Eastern United
States the bride wore a mauve
plaid dress with matching sleeve-
