Hibbert Township Council at
their regular meeting paid the
balance of accounts for warblelly
spraying for 1970 with 18,802
cattle sprayed and the Clerk in-
structed to apply for the grant
on the Inspector's costs.
The road superintendent was
authorized to purchase chloride
and have it applied on the town-
ship roads, also ,to have a culvert
installed at the entrance to Mc-
Taggart Cemetery.
A by-law was passed au-
thorizing the clerk to destroy
certain township documents dated
previous to 1963.
By-laws have been passed
regulating the sale and setting
off of fire crackers in the Police
Village of Dublin and prohibiting
the use of fire arms, etc.
The Department of Highways
has approved the regular expend-
iture• by-law for $93,000.00 and
approval 'granted for the 1970
gravel contract and road con-,
struction between concession 12
and 13 and lots 25 to 30.
A Cheque in the amount of
$18,700.00 has been received as
an advanced road subsidy pay-
ment -for 1970 from the Provin-
cial Treasurer.

was sung in her honour.

served by Mrs. Florence Rock,
Mrs. George Rock and Mrs. Carl
Rock and Mrs. Harold Mogk.

DUBLIN INSTITUTE
Dublin Institute met at the
home of Mrs. Charlie Roney.
Mrs. Charles Friend, the presi-
dent, opened the meeting. The
roll call was answered "the fun-
,niest experience I had on the
farm". Minutes were read by
Mrs. J. Statton, -the secrearY,
and the treasurer's report by
Mrs. R. Burchill.
A blood donors' clinic is being,.
held at the Legion Hall in Mit-
chell and members were urged to
donate. A thank-you was extended
to Mrs. R. Burchill for typing up
the 1970-71 progra,ros. Kenneth
Roney received the donation from
the Institute as the successful
candidate participating in the Mu-
sic Festival at Mitchell.
A letter was read from Linda
Wolfe, dairy princess of Perth,
who is demonstrating programs
which she is doing at various
centres. Mrs. Herbert Britton
reported on the District Annual
being held at Motherwell. Mrs. R.
Aikens took the topic 'Agricul-
ture' on 'Sound and Air' and com-
mented on the waterwells in Kit-
chener -and Waterloo. She also
spoke On the care of lillies and
hydrangeas for winter preser-
vation. Mrs. Charlie Roney had a
reading on how to plant a garden.
Mrs. R. Aikens entertained by
whistling the 'evening prayer' ac-
companied by Mrs. C. Roney on
the organ. Lunch was served by
Mrs. J. Dorsey, Anne Burchill,
Mrs. C. Friend and the hostess,
Mrs. Charlie Roney. Mrs. Nor-
man 'McKay held the lucky cup and
Mrs. R. Aikens gave courtesy re-
marks. Mrs. J. Burchill was auc-
stioneer for the plant sale.

The Perth County Highway Department was busy last week tearing up the pavement of
Dublin's Main Street south of the railway tracks. The work is being done as part of the
