Father John Thomas Costello who was or- dained in London at St. Peter's Basilica, Lo,ndon, on Saturday, chanted his first Mass in his home parish in Dublin on Sunday. Father Costello is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs, Daniel T. Costello. Following the ordination on Saturday a dinner was held at the Catholic Culture Centre in London for the immediate family. On Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Father Cos- tello said his first Mass inSt. Patrick's Roman Catho- lic Church. The fourth degree Knights of Columbus formed an Honour Guard and the choir from St. Andrew the Apostle Church in London sang. The group of tee- nage boys and girls, accompanied by'guitars contribu- ted special music, the most interesting heard at a Folk Mass in the area. The Homilist was Rev. John Donohue and the Deacon:vas Rev. James Mockler. Father Costello's brother Daniel of Kitchener read the Epistle and' Mr. and Mrs. Bill Costello of Dart- mouth, Nova Scotia, who Is the eldest brother, took up the sacrificial offering. After the Mass Father Costello gave everyone his blessing in an individual manner and then a reception was held at the Separate School Gymnasium where a light lunch was served the guests. After the reception the Catholic Women's League served a dinner in the church hall, for the family and immediate relatives.
