at the double-ring ceremony was
Rev. H. M. Davis and organist
was Alec Gordon.
The bridd, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor-
length gown of peau de broche
with empire waistline and A-line
skirt. Her train was floor-length
and • her four-tier illusion veil
was caught up in the centre by
a flowerlike cluster ornamented
with pearl and crystal beads.
She carried a nosegay of Mile,
man roses.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Wayne Hopkins, Belleville, sis-
ter of the bride. She wore a floor-
length gown in shrimp bonded
crepe with empire waistline 'and
daisy trim. Her headpiece was
• a small pill-box with shrimp tulle
to match the dress and she car-
ried a nosegay of white and peach
tinted 'mums.
Bridesmaid was Miss Sharon
Hamilton,, of Yarker, dressed
similarly to the matron of honor.

The. schoolhouse and property
of SeetiOn No. 6 of Hibbert Town-
Cromarty School was sold
by public auction last Wednesday
for $e,100 to 'the Schoonderwoerd
Bros. of Mitchell. The bell, and
the contents of the building were
sold Separately. Many foriner
pupils who were in attendance^
at the Sale had mixed feelings of
regret to see their only place of
schooling sold.

the entire club and the girls
were reminded that Achievement
Day is Saturday May 2nd in Mit-
chell District High School. Mrs.
Butson and Mrs.. Jeffery cooked
some mushrooms which the girls
sampled.

Parents and young people
were present Sunday evening to
hear and enjoy Mr. Gordon San-
derson who writes the Sound Off
column for the London Free
Press, when he addressed the
Hibbert community young people
at the Family Life Centre.

A buffet pot luck dinner was
held in Cromarty Church school
room by the C.G.I.T. girls ,to
honor their FSecret Pals. Each
girl escorted her Secret Pal to
a table. Following the dinner the
meeting• of the W.M.S. was held
with Mrs. M. Lamond presiding
andi Miss Janet Allen as pianist.
The worship service was led by
the C.G.I.T. scripture being read
by Nancy Allen and Geraldine
Templeman. An "Easter
Thought" was 'read by Margaret
Laing and Elizabeth Templeman
followed with meditation by Mrh.
Lamond. A topic in dialogue firm
we's presented' Art Aln,
Brenda Gardiner, Rute and Mary
Jane Templeman, Barbara Kers-
lake and Linda Miller. All joined
in the prayer of the folded hands.
Words of appreciation for
those present, the C.G.I.T. and
their 'leader Mrs. M. Lamond

of an interesting party, Friday
night when neighbours and friends
gathered to. honour Mr. and. Mrs,
Orville Storey on 'the occasion
of their 25th Wedding Anniver-
sary. Mrs. Storey was the for-
mer Lila . Norris of Cromarty and
they were married by Rev. Mc-
William of Cromarty.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Van
Loon, London, are • the bride's

of the groom.
The bride, given in marriage
by her brother, wore a tradi-
tional floor-length gown of white
lagoda,,,silk styled with a bat-
teau -neckline and short sleeves.
• Dainty white daisy trim en-
circled the round neckline and
accented the empire waist and
the sleeves. A graceful cathe-
dral length train, similarly
trimmed, cascaded softly from
a large bow at the back. A
camellia headpiece held her
‘IP double-tiered, floor-length veil.
She carried a cascade of pink
Sweetheart roses with trailing
ivy.
Mrs. Carol Levis, sister of
the bride, was maid Of honor.
Bridesmaid was Miss Kathy Van
Loon, also a sister of the bride.
Both bridal attendants wore
floor-length lilac pebble peau
gowns fashioned with matching
lace-trimmed peau outlining the
empire waist, mandarin neckline
and the romantic puffed sleeves.
A floral veiled cluster in the same
shade complimented their outfits.
They carried elegant crescents
of miniature pink tipped earns.-

Mrs. Kathy Prendergast,
London, presided at the organ and
accompanied the parish folk
singing group.
Robert Bell of Hensall was
best man for his brother. Guests
were ushered by Earl Bell of
TOronto, a brothee)to the groom
and by Garry Van Loon, a bro-
ther of the bride.
Pink and white streamers de-
corated the Orchid where the
wedding dinner, was served and
an evening reception was en-
joyed. '

and green cypripedium orchid
corsage.
