Representatives from four
planning conretant firms met
with the Mitchell Planning Board
and the councillors from Fuller-
ton, Hibbert and Logan town-
ships to discus plans for set-
ting up an area plranning.board
and zoning by-laws to go with it.
A was pointed out that the
three townships have not grown
at all in the past 10 years and
some have even shrunk in size.
Mitchell has only grown by 314
people.
It was felt that' a planning
board might help to improve the
situation.
John Longworth, of London,
planning advisor for Western On-
tario said that before hiring a
consultant, many things mist be
considered, such as the cost of
the official plans '(Mitchell is
the only community with an of-
ficial plan, which needs updating),
evaluation on behalf of the con-
sidtant as to the minimum cost
requirements.
