A report to the board showed
that MOH Dr. G. P. A. Evans
had requested that aspirin and
other headache remedies not be
administered by scbool , person-
nel. Such things as stomach he-
morrhage and possible medical-
legal implications were presen-
ted as arguments. In future, pu-
pils requiring such medication
will have to provide their own
supply.
The Director, John D, Coch-
rane advised the board that 'ren-
tal for increased accommodation
in the former Nurses' Residence
at Clinton will cost $70 per
month. A letter from 0. L. En-
gelst ad, administrator of Clin-
ton Public Hospital, showed that

Cleary Funeral Home, Seaforth,
until 10 a.m. Tuesday when it
was moved to St. Patrick's Ro-

Mitchell, with- burial later in St.
Patrick's parish cemetery in

WILLIAM SHOLDICE
William Sholdice, 94, of Tu-
ckersmith Township, died Sahli,-
day in Riverside Nursing Home,
Mitchell.
He was born in Tuckersmith
Township, the son of the late
Leonard Sholdice and Aim Carter.
lie farmed in the Township until
1936 when he retired.
He is survived by a niece,
Mrs. Archibald Somerville,
R.R.4., Walton and a nephew,
Leonard Strong, Egmondville.
The body was at the G. A.
Whitney funeral home,.Seaforth,
,where service was held at 3p.m.
Tuesday. Temporary entomb-
ment was in Pioneer Mausoleum
with interment later in Maitland-
bankCemetery, Seaforth.
Pallbearers were Arthur
Wallace, Robert Archibald, Robt.
Tyndall, M. Williams, John Old-
field and Harold Bolger. Flower-
bearers were Robt Wallace and
Victor„ Lee.

EARL HEALY
Earl Healy, 61, of Dublin,
died Saturday in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital.
He was born. in Morris To0if-
ship, a son of the late Peter
Healy and Annie Phelan. He farm-
ed for a number of years in
Morris and later in Dublin.
He married the former Irene
Donnelly of Dublin In 1944.
Surviving are his' wife and
two sisters, Sister M. Assump-
tion of Tillsonburg and Sister

side Group of First Church Tues-
day evening, when there was an
attendance of 28.
Recently returned from a trip.
to countries in Europe and Africa,
he showed slides of various.
places visited. He gavelled in
all over 50,000 miles. ;
William Brown presided over
the business and devotional part
of the meeting when Mrs. J. E.
Patterson read the Ten Com-
mandments. Rev. Mulholland led
in prayer.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cole-
man were in charge..of the pro
gram and the group were ent
tamed by Mr. and Mrs. Murray
Christie who rendered several
songs on the saxaphone and piano.
Clair Campbell gave the cour-
tesy remarks.

51 per cent of Board eivendi-
tures. But it is also true that
this percentage is lower than it
was in 1951. It is therefore no
longer possible for a Board to
blame increases in taxation Tin

expenditures are rising at a rate
faster than Instructional sa-
laries."
