March 14,1970 at 7:00 p.m. Father
H.Laragh officiated at,the double-
ring cereniony. The bride Is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin
Dietz, R.R.#1, .Dublin and the
groom is the son of Mrs. Isabel
Rau, Seaforth and the late Mr.
Verdun Rau.
Mr. Paul Horan, London,
guest organist chose "Praise
Ye the• Father" for the prOces-
,sionai and he played ,•The Hal-
lelujah Chorus" as the reces-
sional. He accompanied the
soloist& Miss Joanne Elligsen,
Waterloo and. Miss Margaret
Elligsen, R.R.#4, Walton, ,when
they sang "The Kin6milvLove My
Shepherd Is"; "The edding
Prayer"; "Panis Angelicus"
and "The Lord's My Shepherd".
The bride, who was escorted
to the altar by her father, v,..s
given in marriage by her parents.

guipure flowers trimmed the
neckline, the cuffs Of the short
puffed sleeves and extended dow.1

The lace and flowers enhanced the
fitted bodice creating a bib effect
and the slightly gathered skirt
which fell from an empire waist-
line. A detachable full cascade
train extending.tb chapel length,
was trimmed exactly as the gown
and fell softly from the back
waistline. Her tulle Illusion
French veil was held by a head-
piece of guipure flowers edged in
lace and accented by seed pearls.
She carried a Colonial bOuquet of
pink sweetheart roses amid white
shasta daisies.

Dublin, was.' maid of honour
for her sister. :Attending as
.bridesmaid were Miss Janice
Dietz, R.O.".#1,,sister of
the bride, Miss ;1141414 4,3m;
London, sister of the groom and

sister -of the groom..They were
gowned alike in pink lagncia
featuring the Edwardian look
similar to the bride. Their
gowns were styled with the high
neckline and short pulled sleeves.
Rows of ruffled lace edged +he
collar of the high neckline 'and
the cuffs of the short puffed
sleeves. The lace banded the
empire waist and extended down
the front of the bqdice to give a
bib, effect. The floor-length
giwns were styled with semi-
full skirts ,which featured deep
Pleats in the back to give the
illusion of a train. Tiny, pink
rosettes were scattered in their
hair and they 'carried Colonial
bouquets of pink carnations
among white shasta daisies.
The groom 'was attended by
his brother, Mr. Wayne Rau,
Seaforth as best man and. Mr.
Paul Rau, Seaforth, brother of
the groom, Mr. Brian Phillips, .
Seaforth and Mr. Darwin Dietz,
R.R.#1, Dublin, brother of the
bride, ushered the guests.
A reception was held in the
Clinton Community Centre im-
mediately following the cere-:
mony. The bride's mother rec-
eived the guests in a dress of
Berry pink with a 'jewel neck-
line and long slim sleeves en-
hancing the top of chantilly lace
which extended to a dropped
waist over a sofily`pleated chif-
fon skirt. She wore a pink
floral hat and matching pink
accessories c.ompleted her out-
fit. Her corsage, was of pink
sweetheart roses.
The groom's mother assisted
in a wheat coat and "dress
ensemble. Her dress of rib'-
Wiled lace featured ,a stand-up
collar and long sleves. The'
front of the drets •was accented
by buttons. The collarless
sleeveless coat featured two
buttons at the neckline. She
•Wore brown accessories and ,a
corsage of yellow isweetheart
roses.
For travelling to Southern
Ontario, the bride changed to
a linen coat and dress ensem-
ble whi,ie featured a white dress
completed by a navy and white
paisley design coat. Red wet.
look accessories accented' the
ensemble and 'she wore a red
'sweetheart rose corsage.
Guests • were present 'from
Seaforth, 'Mitchell, Stratford;
Goderich, "Amuiree, Waterloo,
Hamilton, New Hamburg,Zuilch,
London and the, surrounding area.
Mr. and Mrs. Rau are re-,
siding at Apt. 9, 105 Goderich
Street East, Seaforth. ,
