There were no inaugural speeches at the first 'regular meeting of the 1970 Hensall Coun- cil,as_rnemhers moved into rou- tine business by thereading and adoption of the minutes Of the previous meeting. , Town Foreman, E. R. Davis, told Council in his report that he had ploughed and sanded side- walks when the need arose. He thanked Council for the bonus he had received at the end of 1969. Council was told Davis had spent a considerable amount of time disposing of rubbisitfrom the basement of the Town Hall and filling in floor spaces left by the removal of 'old registers. He had washed, the walls in the library and as soon as the cei- ling is wa,shed, will proceed to paint the area.
