110 Boys At
First Practice
MI six teams in the House
League hockey held practice last
week with about -110 boys in
uniform.
The schedule will commence this
week as follows: 10.00 Kings vs
'Flyers; 11.00 Canucks vs Sabres;
12.00 Seals vs Islanders.
Bantams Win
Two Openers.
Lucknow Bantam hockey club
opened their regular schedule with
two wins in the past week.
In the first game played last
Tuesday night in Lucknow, the
home town boys soundly defeated
Mildmay with a 13-6 trouncing.
Lucknow jumped into a•7-0 lead in
the first period. They added three
, more in the second to take a 10-0
lead. Mildmay then scored three in
succession, only to have Lucknow
add two more before the period
ended. In the third. Mildmay
scored three more and Lucknow
scored one again to complete the
romp. Mark Frayrte scored 4 goals;
Ron Johnson 3: and single goals
were scored by Danny Londry.

Hamilton, Jim Clark and Enc
Cayley.
Thursday night in Mildmay, the
score was 4-3 for Lucknow. Mild-
may scored one goal in the first and
another in the second period to go
ahead 2-0. Lucknow bounced back
in the third period and tied the
game 2-2. Mildmay then added
another to go ahead. Two goals by
Ron Johnson. the tying goal and
the winning goal wrapped up the
win. The winning goal was scored
in the last minute of the period.
The other Lucknow goals were
scored by Mark Fravne and Steve
Hamilton.
The Bantams play .their home
gameson Tuesday nights at the
local arena. Drop down and give
them your support.
Intermediates Win
One, Lose One
Friday night in Goderich, Luck -
now Intermediate hockey team
knocked the Sailors out of the boat
with a 5 to 2 victory.
• In the first period Lucknow had
trouble moving the puck out of
their own end and- O'DOnahue was
bombarded with a shower of pucks.
The second and third period
Lucknow started moving the puck
better, and making their shots on
the Goderich net count.
Goals for Lucknow were John
Emberlin 3, Dave Black 1. Jim
Murray 1.
Sunday night in Lucknow saw the
local boys lose to Fergus 11-6.
•Goals were by John McKenzie 1,
Dave MacKinnon 1, Doug Steven-
son 2, John Emberlin 1, Jim
Murry I.
Next home game is Sunday night
at 8.00 p.m., with Goderich visit-
ing.

Lack Conditioning
Lucknow Juvenile hockey team
won and lost a game in the season
openers this past week.
In the season opener in Chesley
on Saturday night, Lucknow romp-
ed to a 12-2 win. Kevin Ackert
scored 5 goals, Ian Montgomery
and John Hamilton 2 each with,
Stewart Mann picking up the other.
Assists went to Kevin Muray 5,
Stewart Mann 4, Bob McGillivray 3
and Kevin Ackert, Ian Montgom-
ery, Jeff Taylor, John Hamilton, 1
each.
In Lucknow on Sunday after-
noon, less than 24 hours later, the
Lucknow team, lacking the legs
because of conditioning, ran out of
steam after two periods and lost 11
- 3 to Mount Forest.
It was3-2 for Mount Forest at the
end of the second, and Lucknow
simply didn't have the legs for the
third. Final score was 11-3 for
