Sympathy of the community goes
out to John Top and family in the
loss of Mrs. Top who died on
Thursday at the Heimstra Nursing
Home, Listowel.
Sympathy also goes out to Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Bregman and family
in the death of Mrs. Bregman's
father, Cornelius Nell of Stayner.

Opening Two
Last Friday night Lucknow Inter-
mediates met their old rivals,
Harriston. The Lucknow club
performed as well as could be
expected, with only two lines
against Harriston's three lines..
Up to the last 4 minutes of the
game the score was tied 6-6, then
Bob O'Donahue was cut in the head
with a skate which required
stitches. Terry Taylor went in the
net for the renrainder of the game.
With 1 minute and 30 seconds left,
Harriston deflected a shot into the
net and the score ended 7-6 for
Harriston.
Scoring for Lucknow were Doug
Stevenson 2, Jim Murray 2, Tom
Hill 1, Dave Black 1.
Last Sunday night, Lucknow
dropped another one to Clinton in a
hard hitting game. It was a close
game to the end of the 2nd period.
then Clinton slammed 4 goals by
Terry Taylor and .Lucknow tallied
for 1 in the 3rd period. Final score
was 6-3. Scoring for Lucknow were
Dave Black 1, John McKenzie 2.
The Lucknow Club travels to

House League To
Start Saturday
House League Hockey will com-
mence this Saturday with six teams
in action. Team lists are not
completed as yet as other players
will be sent down from organized
teams after this week's practice.
There are already 102 boys
registered. Another coach is
urgently needed.
Ripley Juveniles
Defeat Hanover
Ripley Juvenile hockey team took
the Hanover squad for a 10-5
victory Saturday in Hanover.
Courtney Liddle, Mike Gallant and
Johnny Elliott scored twice. with
Peter MacDonald, Rick Smith.
Greg Liddle, and David MacDonald
each scoring single tallies.
Next game is in Ripley on
Sunday at 2 p.m. against Lisbiwel.

new snowmobile trail assistance program. The
