West Wawanosh Twp. Council Minutes
/. West Wawanosh Township
Council met for its regular monthly
meeting on . Tuesday evening.
November 5. with all members, in
attendance and. Reeve Lyons pres
iding.
The minutes of the October
meeting were read and adopted on
motion of Councillors Hickey and
Foran.
A discussion took place regard-
ing two claims received recently
forlivestock killed, whichwere,
determined. to be caused by wolves.
and the evaluator called the
Ministry of Natural Resources to
investigate the (Manage. The
Ministry is paying the farmers the.
damages claimed in these cases.
By -Law #8, 1974. authorizing the
construction of a Community
P.ealth Centre in the Village of
Lucknow, for which West Wawa -
nosh will contribute the sum of
516,000.00 over a ten-year period.

passed on motion of' Councillors
Foran and Hickey.
The Clerk was instructed to.
contact the engineers concerned
with the Andrews -Finnigan Drain
repair. the Kirk Drain cleanout. the
Dungann'onDrain #2 Report and the
Gaunt drain petition;to get some
positive action on these projects.
A petition for a drainage works
signed by Clare Millian and others
was accepted by Council on motion
of Councillors Durnin and Ruther-
ford..
The Clerk read a letter from the
Maitland .Valley Conservation
Authority regarding the proposed,
purchase of 100 acres of land in the
Township. Council instructed the
Clerk to write the Authority •
requesting its attendance at the
December meeting to discuss the
matter with them.
Council was in favour of a
uniform building permit to be used
by all municipalities in the County,
and the Clerk was instructed to
write Mr. Gary Davidson, Planning
Director, to this effect.
Motion by Councillors Foran and
Hickey "That West Wawanosh
accept the tender of Jaines Adams.

Bruce CO -operative Medical Ser-
vices established a "first" for the
province when it formally marked
the opening of its new office
building in Paisley. The Bruce
Co-operative' Medical Services, was
established July 1, 1947.
