Dear Don It wasn't until 1 read the report of the Ratepayers Meeting in the "Sentinel" that 1 kneW that Councillor Solomon had suggested„ if I had any "specific complaint", in the future to direct it to the Bylaw Office giving details of the 9ftence, and the name of the party involved. Over the years, 'the Sentinel has printed Notices from the Village Council, "that it was unlawful to ride a bike on the sidewalk and that offenders would be prosecuted". At no time have I heard of any prosecution, „ yet it is quite com- mon, especially right on Main Street, to see this going on, It is a wonder that no elderly person has ever been knocked down and injured as they came out of the stoles, ' Quite a few of the. Village Councillors are often on Main Stteet, and possibly have seen these cyclists, yet no charges have ever been laid, Probably there are quite a few hke myself in town, who would have no idea of the names of the • persons on the bicycles, eso no • knew -Ate of where the Town • By-law Office was situated, if there as a By-law Officer, or who would be in charge • to receive the complaint, •Perhaps in a 'future SentinelaiJ this could be printed., so as the Geraer: Pablic would haw this infonanattion.
