Mr. Alex MacKenzie,of Lucknow
and Mr. and Mrs. Farish. Moffat of

with relatives in . Leamington and
also went to see Jack Miner's Bird
Sanctuary at Kingsville..
Mary Maclntyre of Lucknow was
admitted to Wingham Hospital on
Tuesday evening of last week and
was transferred to University Hos-
pital, London, Friday morning.
Mrs. Harold Treleaven of Luck -
now returned on Wednesday -of last
week ,from Edmonton, Alberta,
where she had visited for the past
month with Mr. and Mrs. Frank
MacKenzie and family.
The Lucknow Women's Institute
will meet in the town hall at 1.15 on
Tuesday; November 12. Special
speaker.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Howe of
Paisley were Sunday guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Houston, Luck -
now.
Mrs. Zetta Henderson of Luck -
now left two weeks ago for Port
.Orange, Florida, where she spends
the winter months.

History Students,

Tour Ottawa
During the 'last .week of. October.
89 students in the 251. 451 and 551
history programs at the F. ' E.
Madill Secondary School visited
Ottawa for two very full days. The
group travelled to Stratford by bus
and on to the Nation's capital by
train. In Ottawa the group 'stayed
at the Lord Elgin Hotel.
While in Ottawa the students
toured the city. Rideau Hall, the
Royal Mint. the National Gallery,
the National Arts Centre, the War
Museum and the National Museum
of Science and Technology. During
their, free time a number of
students also took the opportunity
to visit Laurier House. the home of
Wilfrid Laurier and MacKenzie
King. On Tuesday evening several
of the group attended a perform-
ance of the Montreal Symphony
Orchestra at the National' Arts
Centre.
On Tuesday afternoon a full
compliment of Cabinet Minister
and Opposition - front benchers
treated the students to•a very lively
and interesting question period in
the House. Not the least was the
exchange which took place between
the Prime Minister and George
Nees. Following a tourof the
Parliament Buildings the students.
went to 'the Railway Committee
Room where they were met and
addressed by the area M.P.s. eRobt.
E. McKinley from the Huron -Mid-
dlesex riding and Crawford Doug-
las from the Bruce constituency.
The leader of the opposition,
Robert L. Stanfield, also spoke to
the group about the importance of
visiting the capital as well as other
parts �f the country. Fran Excel,
Mary Edith Garniss, Jim Welwood
and Betty Ann Leahy thanked the
various guides and others who had
assisted the group. .
Supervisors for the group were
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hunter, Mrs.
Sylvia Campbell, Mrs. Sally Com -
peau and Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Madill:
To Spend Six
Weeks In Dublin
John Bradley, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Eldon Bradley of Lucknow,
who is in is final year Medicine at
University of Toronto, and Douglas
Mowbray of Wingham, also in his
final year Medicine at University of
Western Ontario, London, travel-
led by plane to Dublin. Ireland this
past week to commence an eight
week Obstetrics Elective at The
Coombe Lying-in Hospital, Dublin.
They expect to return the end of
December.
