Rev. Wallace McClean was
inducted as minister of Lucknow
and Dungannon Presbyterian
churches., He came here from
Picton . succeeding Rev. C. A.

James Forster of 'West Wawa
nosh who was 83 yearsof age, had
his agricultural team in the show
ring at Lucknow Fall Fair to set a
record of some 65 years of
continuous competition. Mr. For-
ster's father, Joseph Forster, start-
ed him in the show ring at the age
of 17 and he had missed only one
show in the intervening years.
While other areas counted the
cost of life and property damage in
the wake of Hurricane Hazel, this
immediate community was thank-
ful to have escaped the ravages of
the storm. Neighbouring towns of
Wingham, Walkerton, Paisley and
Listowel suffered damage from
record breaking fall flood waters
that rapidly mounted several feet
above normal, as week end down-
pours climaxed a month of extreme
rainfall
