A wedding dinner and reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Goyeau Avenue. The bride's mother received the 'guests wearing an original floor - length yellow gown with bishop sleeves and corsage of white carnations. The groom's mother assisted wearing an orchid sleeve- less floor length gown with white lace overlay. Her corsage was of pink carnations. For travelling the bride .chose a black pant outfit featuring a. short silk jacket with, embroidered yolk and an Gaff -white blouse. The couple are residing in Sarnia and the groom will commute to his Pizzeria business, .which he oper- ates in Petrolia. BROWNIE NEWS The first Lucknow Brownie Pack held their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 1st. Everyone played a skipping and balancing game. Tracey McDonagh . was Fairy Queen for the meeting. The new Tweenie, Helen Maclntyre, sat beside the Toadstool for - Brownie Ring. . Inspection was for the Brownie . Sign and the Sixers collected Brownie Gold. They then had Brownie Prayer. Brown Owl and Snowy Owl then conducted two games "Sleepy and Dopey" and "One, Two, Three'. Tawny Ov4 talked to the Tweenie about the Brownie Prcimise. At Pow Wow • the Pack 'sang Happy Birthday to Elizabeth Wil- kins and Rosemary Gilmore. The Brownies whostill have their test to do for a bulb and diary were asked to try and get a bulb growing. The Brownies then talked about selling calendars. The meeting closed with the Squeeze and the Swedish Prayer. Guests were present from Tor- onto, Hanover, Wingham, Bel - grave, Langside. After dinner Mr. and :.Mrs. Young were presented with gifts, among which were a linen table cloth, tea pot, cream and sugar set, set of bowls and a sewing machine. A social evening was spent playing cards. The community would like to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Ross Cayley and family back to the community.
