well known in Wingham, was in town a
few days this week. He has the contract
of carrying the mails bo different points
from Calgary, In conversation with him,
it was learned that Calgary is lit with?the
Edison Incandescent Light. There are 46
lights on the streets, some of them 16 and
others $2 candle power. He speaks in the
highest terms of the light, and is of the
o pinion that there is no better light.
Stores, shops, dwellings and stables are
lit with it;and eyerybody is highly pleased
with it.

ground for town hall, was submitted by
Mr John Forster for the contractor, Mr R
