At Huronview
Members of the Clinton Christ-
ian Reformed Church held a song
service on Sunday evening led by
Arie Van Der Ende.
Mary Broadfoot, . Frank Forrest,
Norman Speir and Jerry. Collins
provided the old tyme music for
Monday afternoon's dancing and
sing -a -long.
Mrs. Jane McGregor.,formerly
of Seaforth, played the piano, for
Tuesday hymn sing. •
Six tables of euchre and four of
cronkinole took part in Wednes-
day's games in the auditorium.
Mr. and Mrs. Amos Osbaldes
I ton of . Goderich showed coloured
slides taken while on a trip to
Western Canada and Northern
Ontario on family night. Amos
operated the projector. and Elva
gave a very interesting comment-
ary of the pictures. Mrs. Morris
played piano selections during the
intermission with . the appreciation
of the residents extended to the
Goderich folks by Mrs. Bessie
Elliott.

Earl McNee of Belmore, Sharon
Young, Mrs. Mary Bere, Kathy,
Jamie motored to Windsor on
Saturday to attend the twenty-third
convocation at University of Wind-
sor and see Ruth Bere receive her
Bachelor of Arts degree. She is
presently continuing her education
at University of Windsor, taking a
course in business administration.
Gerald Bere of London and Ruth
Schmidt of Tavistock went to
Windsor also to attend the gradua-
tion.
Mrs. Elmer Black, Mrs. Alvin
Kerr and Mrs. Graham NcNee
attended the Huron County Fall
Rally of the W.I. at Brussels on
Monday. /1
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Johnston
and children of London visited on
Sunday with the former's parents,
Mrs. Russell Johnston , in the
village and Mr. Johnston in
Wingham and District Hospital,
where he is a , patient.
On Friday, October 4, nine
cousins met at the home of Mrs.
Cecil Blake for a visit and to honour
Mrs. Lorne Woods on her birthday.
These included Mrs. Woods, Mrs.'
John Gardner, Mrs. John McDon-
agh, Mrs. Gordon Kirkland, Mrs:
R.T. Kilpatrick, Mrs. Chas. Hod-
gins, Mrs. Harvey Webb, Mrs.
Dan Rose and Mrs. Gordon Ander-
son.
Mr. and Mrs..Ronald. Stormes of
Kitchener visited Mrs: Cecil Blake
on Sunday. -

convalescing, at home after having
been in hospital for a week
previously.
The Brodkside Bloomers. a diet
and exercise group, met at Brook-
side School.

and interesting exhibit of Arts and
Crafts were Mrs. Mid Hunter and
Mrs. Judy Snobelen. There was a
great interest fin this class. The
directors in charge were Mrs.
Elmer Courtney, Mrs. Frank Fair
and Mrs. Gerald Coiling and along
with the judge they did a remark-
able job in placing this class on
display. Top winners in the Junior
section with directors Mrs.• Jack
Farrell and Mrs. Carl Hooey were
Kathy and Kim Farrell with 43 and
32 points respectively.
The bags of grain and seeds and
the grainsheaves were displayed
along the stage end' of the
auditorium. The top winning
exhibit was Mike Snobelen's corn
cobs. About 40 bags of -grain were
shown by exhibitors Gordon and
Eugene Bridge, Harold Courtney,
Donald MacKay. Bill Schmidt,
Alvin Thompson, Ralph Grubb,
John C. MacDonald, Gordon Pat-
terson, Austin Martin. Walter
Forster and Morley Scott. The
sheaf builders were Norman
Schn►idt. Mrs. Edna. Stanley. Em-
erson Rass.man of Chcsley. Fran
and Ab Wylds with .Norman, for
years the top builder in Canada.

The display of the students from
the Ripley schools was sped
and large that a, person would just
have to see it. Indeed many people
are taking advantage of the Friday
night "open house" tolook at the
exhibits in both the high school
auditorium and the township hall.
Over in the hall it was a repeat
performance equal to the one in the
school. Vegetables. potatoes,.
collections. corn and hay. exhibits
all over the place is the only way to
