Lucknow, who had great success
in their homecoming events
each day from Friday, June. 28 to
Monday, July 1.
Mr, and Mrs. Ross MacDonald
from Ottawa recently visited the
former's mother, Mrs. Lillian
MacDonald , and a lso , the Jim
Peterson's from Lucknow.
Mrs. Cecil Blake and Barbara
returned last Monday evening after
spending several days with Mr.
and Mrs. Jim Blake near Alliston
and friends in Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Barker of
78 Perth Street, of Stratford ,
(nee Cecilia Watt) appreciated
the kindness of former Crewe
friends at the time of the death
of her mother, Mrs. John Watt ,
June 18, Ceciliagave.the follow-
ing account , ' wich will be of
interest to many:
Mr. and Mrs. John Watt and two
children, William and 'Cecilia
came from Scotland to Glamis in
the Tiverton area in 1925, then to
Crewe in 1926: Wm. and Cecilia
attended Crewe school. In 1941
the family moved to. Hamilton.
Since 1967 Mrs. Watt has made
her home in Stratford with her
daughter and family,, Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Barker, and passed
away in the Stratford Nursing
1-1‘. June 18. She was predec -
casedby her son, Wm. in 1963;
and her husband in 196/, both in
Hamilton. Mrs. Watt was in her
94th year, having been born in
Scotland October 18, 1880. Sur-
viving also are the four Barker
children, Isabella C. Kohlmeier
at Gad's Hill, Lorena P. Mem, 'in
Seaforth, William at Poole, and
Patricia in Stratford, also nine
great .grandchildren. Burial was
at Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow ,
on Friday, June 21.
Sympathy is extended to the
family and relatives of the late
Victor Whitley of Hamilton,
formerly of Crewe, whose burial
was at Greenhill Cemetery, Luck -
now , Saturday, June 22.
Sympathy also is extended. to
Raymond Finnigan and family in
the death of his brother , Percy
Finnigan, former resident of ,
Dungannon, who was born on the
6th concession of Ashfield Town-
sl?ip. His burial was in Dungannon
Cemetery on Tuesday, July 2.

Ontario believes
that residents 65 or over,
the bind and the disabled
should have an income of
at least $2600 a year
In July, Ontario will introduce a Special. Benefits
program: It will place extra funds on top of federal
Guaranteed Income Supplements -enough to guarantee
the elderly who are qualified residents of Ontario
an income of $2600 a year. Blind and disabled
people who qualify for Family Benefits will also
be entitled to these special benefits. .
Beginning September 1, approved drugs prescribed by
a doctorordentist will be available, free of
charge, to those qualifying for the special benefits
outlined above, Family Benefits or the federal
Guaranteed Income Supplement. Drug cards will be
mailed automatically.. You don't have to apply for them.
Who will receive these special benefits?

If you are 65 or over
(with an annual income of less than $2600)...and
you now receive both Old Age Security and the
Guaranteed Income Supplement...
you will receive your benefits cheque each
month, automatically. You do not have to apply for it.
If you are 65.or over
(with an annual income/of less than $2600)...and
you do not receive anv•ifederal income supplement...
please give us a call.
