oy and from the United Stat-
es to meet old friends and acquain-
tances. •The Sepoy Town was
humming with activity for every
hour of the whole week end.
Every single event attracted maxi-
mum crowds and participation.
Reunion Chairman Barry Mc-
Donagh and his many, many will-
ing helpers can take a sood deal
of satisfaction in a job well done.
Compliments for the week end
•
came in the hundreds from old
boys .and girls who were 'most
appreciative of the efforts put
forth on their behalf.
The reunion ended with the
farewell dance in the arena on
Monday evening at which, time
Mrs. Duncan McConnell of Mild-
may, formerly Of Lucknow , 'won
the draw for a week's trip for two
to the Bahamas. •Second prize , a
portable colour television, was.
won by Hugh Todd of St. Helens.
Doug MacKinnon of Kitchener
won a clock radio. ,
Because of the shortage of prod-
uction time, The Sentinel finds
it necessary to leave all reunion
news and picture coverage until
next week, July 10 at which time,
we hope to bring the complete
reunion events in story and pictur-
es.
Total receipts from all aspects
of the reunion are slightly over
$40,000, a clear indication of
the success. The net profit, nat-
urally is yet to be determined
after all expenses are considered
and accounts in , but it points to a
very sizeable one. A financial
statement will appear in the paper
when it is completed.
