Howlett.
The Council elect for 1890 met at
Gorrie on the 20th January. A11
made and subscribed to the necessary
oath of office and qualification, as
follows : B. S. Cook, Reeve ; Anson
Dulmage, 1st Deputy Reeve ; John
W. Jacques, 2nd Deputy Reeve;
Alex. Graham and Alex Robertson,
Councillors. The Council went into
committee of the whole •on officers'
salaries. The committee faxed tile'
salaries as follows: ,Clerk, ;$225,wlaich
is to include all school .rolls and all
perquisites, except fees for Board of
Health ; he to he allowed $25 for
stationery ; the Treasurer's salary to
be $160; Assessor, $,130 ; Collector
for West Divian, $70, fur East Divi-
sion, $60, and the Auditors $8 -each.
The report was adopted by the Coun-

-George .Strout, Treasurer, Geo. Pad-
field, Assessor, P, Hepinstall and
James Perkins, A.uditor8. Messrs.

Henry Perkins were appointee mem-
bers of the Board of Health. Accounts
