Whitechurch Midget Softball team
has been forced to fold up as 'there
was no money to operate nor to
repair the park.

4-H Calf.Club
The first meeting of the Luck-
now Calf Club was held on 'Thurs-
day, May 2S at the home of Hugh
Todd.' The meeting was Opened
with each member, repeating the
4-H pledge. We then judged a
class of Angus cows. Some of
the members gave reasons and
then,Hugh Todd gave the official.
placing. .He then gave us a type
demonstration on a sheep. to help
us on Saturday for our judging
competition.
We then went to, the house and
did our lesson. After this Mrs.
Todd served us a lovely lunch.
We decided our next meeting
would be at Glen Walden's on
June 27. Nancy Alton thanked
them for having us and for the
lovely lunch.
Ripley Beef. Club
The first meeting of the Ripley-
Beef-Club was held at Ripley, Dist•
rict High School on May 14. Rick
Smith opened the meeting. The
members repeated the 4-H pledge:
Roll call was answered by all
members. The minutes of the
.last meeting were read by
Heather Boyle and, approved. The
next meeting will be on Wednes-
day, June 19 at 8.15, at Ripley'
High School.
Hugh ,Mason then took over the
meeting. This year we are dis-
cussing the book on the feeding
program . We completed. the
quiz on Nutrients. Riq, Smith
adjourned the meeting' and Kerry.
