The Golden Wedding Anniver-
sary of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer J.
Farrish of Gorrie was held in the
Community Hall, Gorrie,,on
Saturday, May 19th. All the
Members of the family were pr'es-
sent for the occasion., ,Jasper.

North Bay, E. Johnstone, a War-
rant Officer in the Canadian Navy
Branch of the Armed Forces .in
Victoria, B.C. , Bower of North
Bay, Maxine (Mrs. George
Adams) of Wroxeter, , Millie,
(Mrs. Donald Leader) of. Gorrie.
Fifty members of the family
and relatives had supper at 5.30,
catered 'to by the N. W. Branch of
- the Gorrie U.C. W. There are,
nineteen grandchildren and three
great grandchildren, many of
whom were present for the event.
An. At Home was spent from
7.30,- 9 p.m: and °
dancing from 9.30 - 12 p.m. with
Mann's Orchestra supplying the
music. Friends and relatives were
present from Luckno14, Goderich,
Kintail, Blyth, Wingham,
Whitechurch, Mount Forest, Hol-
stein, 'Markham., North Bay and
Victoria B.C.

& A.M. G.R.C. Lodges held
Divine Service in the Dungannon
United Churth, on Sunday even-
ing, May 26.
Nearly one hundred Masons
attended along with their wives
and friends. The service was
under the guidance of Bro. „Rev -.
R. C. McClenaghanDistrict
Chaplain of Dungannon with V.
Worshipful Bro. Rev. Harold
Snell, Exeter, Guest Speaker.
Rev. Snell chose for his mes-
sage "Four Cardinal Virtues". ,
The scripture was read by District
Deputy Grand Master, Rt. Wor.
Bro. Allan Stoll. ,
The special music for the ser-
vice was provided by the Belgrave
Men's Choir, under the leader-
ship of Rev. J. Roberts,
Following the worship service
a time of fellowship was enjoyed
by all while lunch was served.

KINGSBRIDGE NEWS
The annual public speaking
program at St. Joseph's School
was held last week., This year for
the first time ipre-schoolers were
given a chance to say a poem or
sing and in return they received
a silver, dollar. Any student par-
ticipating in this program receiv-
ed a silver dollar, first place
winner of each category received.'

Homemaking. Clubs in this area
was held at Brookside School on
Saturday, May 25th. The "Kings-
bridge Kuties" along with their
leaders Mrs. .Antone Van Osch and
q.4 Mrs. Gene Frayne attended.
A baby shower for Mrs. Percy
McClenaghan (nee Sharron Court-
ney) was held at the home of her
sister Mrs. Max Riegling on Satur-
day,
,
for relatives, friends and
former neighbours. Sharron re=
ceived many useful gifts for her
new twin sons.
The Brownies held their meet-.
ing on Tuesday, May 21st on the
lawn at the Town Hall. Everyone
played skipping games followed
by Brownie' Ring, Janice McInnes
was Fairy Queen and the Sixers
collected Brdwnie Gold.
At work period the Pixies and
the Elves wrote a letter to Mr.
Greer asking for peimission to
have our Brownie Revel at the
Greer farm. The.Gnomes and the
Sprites got name tags ready for the
PaCk to wear at the Revel. •
During. Pow Wow the Brownies
were reminded of the
things they would need, on Satur-
day for the hike. Everyone is to
meet at the Town Hall at 9.30
Saturday morning.
The meeting closed with Taps.
